Last night’s “Beefy Noodle Skillet” from “Ramen Noodle Recipes” didn’t look like much, but tasted okay. It was a lot like Spaghetti-Os with broken ramen noodles playing the role of the Os.

I’m working on a project, admittedly one that will make no money. The project, is to watch all of the episodes of True South which have been broadcast, and note down each song and restaurant/bar/market referenced. In addition to compiling a list, I intend to make an Apple Music playlist for each episode, as well as pin each business in Google Maps. There is already a True South song playlist on Spotify, but I don’t know if it’s complete, and I am no longer a Spotify user. I am also conflicted that I am using Google Maps instead of Apple Maps, but must admit that Google Maps is still superior.

    1st!

We went to Sam’s- bought 3 items. So not the typical Sam’s shoppers.
I do have too much asparagus now.

Paulie- I’ll get with you about lunch, 12:30 ish sound good?

how the hell did you get Wordle in 3……..

Wordle in 5! Heard from a friend who knows I Wordle and was whining about her X/6. I knew it was going to be tricky, but a 3 is outstanding.

I celebrated my lap around the sun with a ride on the PATH out of Pine Mountain. 60’s and sunny for the first mile and then the clouds and fog rolled in. So strange. Glad I still had my tights on, otherwise it would have been a really short ride. 18 chilly miles. And as soon as I drove north, the sun was out.

Birthday wishes from 4 continents- pretty good!

I’ll keep the party going by wishing you happy birthday today, Steve.

I got Wordle in 3 today too, and it truly felt like I dodged a bullet. My first guess gave me the last letter, second guess gave me the second letter and a third floater. After scratching my head for a while saying “what the hell?”, it came to me.

I thought I was the only one who doesn’t use Spotify.

The USB-Old port on my Civic has stopped working. I know it is the port because it doesn’t work with the dongle or with a cable. I googled it and I now have a couple options to try before I have to take it in. It is interesting to listen to the silence during my 10 minute drives to and from work. If I had a longer drive I would probably just crank the volume on my phone.

Beefy noodle skillet with ramen noodles sounds soooo good. I may have to experiment.

      I don’t use spotify either –

doesn’t your car have an old school RADIO to listen to?

      • Jenka says:

The only radio stations I know are sports shouting and NPR. I broke up with NPR years ago and I don’t want to listen to sports shouting first thing in the morning.

        • Barb says:

I really don’t know anymore either (I pay for Sirius XM) -but I’m sure 99X or something around there on the dial could get you a little ridiculousness noise for 10 minutes

          • Jenka says:

Is there a dial anymore, or do you need to know the numbers? I don’t care enough to fuck around with it and would rather think my thinky-thinks.

Kevin uses Sirius XM and loves it.

          • Steve says:

I just started a free 3 months on Spotify because their American standard songbook selections were very good. I’ll see if I actually listen to it- I have a reminder to pull the plug. We have Sirius/XM in all vehicles or via phones. Their playlists seem kinda short, so I have to change channels a lot.

          • Barb says:

the few times I’ve used my radio – I used the search/scan until I found a station.
