What a busy day yesterday…
I drove to Marietta at 9:30am and returned home after dinner at Betsy’s at 8:30pm.
What I accomplished:
– shopped at a Total Wine store
– shopped at a Dollar Tree store
– shopped at two different Goodwill stores
– had a dental checkup (which turned out well)
– ate Chinese food for lunch
– picked up seven pumpkins from the church across the street from Barb’s (thanks for the tip, Barb)
– shopped at two different Nam Dae Mun grocery stores (and couldn’t find the item I wanted in either, so I will have to return to the location in Morrow)
– bought an iPad Air at the Cumberland Apple Store
What I didn’t accomplish:
– get a haircut
– drink beer at Schoolhouse Brewing
Frustrations:
– traffic driving home fucking suuuuuuuuucked
– the lid on the dish washing liquid opened and some of the liquid oozed into its shopping bag and onto some of the items in the bag
Wordle: two, my starter was STAGE
Wordle in 3. Nice deuce.
I finished clearing out the interlopers on the fence line and took them to the burn pile. Debbie was riding with Wendy, so I tagged along to get a look and do some measurements on the run in shed I want to copy. I think it’s over-engineered a bit, but whatever. I have enough information to work up a bill of materials and shop that around a bit. It’s certainly enough lumber not to try and bring in home in a pick up truck without a trailer. Being dropped at Wendy’s got me another 14 miles home on the gravel bike (mostly into the wind).
We both needed a sushi fix, so that was dinner before hitting the grocery.
Barb, are you aware TC is the happy hour on Friday?

Thanks, STAGE did a lot of heavy lifting.
Have you thought about going to the beach and reading a book? 🙂
Ha! I’m waiting for the doldrums of January and February to stay inside and hibernate.
I did see that about H5, not sure if I will go. Sally & I might watch Survivor – we have 4 episodes recorded!
I wish I could figure out how to stop WordPress from logging me out m, forcing me to log in every time I check comments.
About to head into WLF to do a lot of cleanup, and plant garlic. I will also plant the paw paw tree from the pot in which I bought it in hopes of keeping it alive.
We had the tree guys come back yesterday and clear out a bunch of crap in the back yard. We have let the back yard go these past 5 years or so and we need to spruce it up a bit. Next on the house agenda is painting the exterior and re-doing the floorboards on the front porch. But that won’t happen until January at least.
Otherwise I made a chicken and veggie stir fry and we watched an episode of TAR. Patriots-Jets tonight on Thursday Night Football! You’re goin’ DOWN, Paulie!
Patriots 38
Jets 6
That’s my prediction.
Wow, you can’t even give them the extra point. Harsh.
As I said the other day, I am fully prepared to lose to the Jets tonight. The mighty have to fall at some point, and usually it happens against the opponent you’d least expect.
Quick visit to the dermatologist to get a “spot” frozen off this morning – I thought it wasn’t bothering me, but decided it was.
I’m glad you got some pumpkins……….
you did more shopping/errands in 1 day than I do in a month.
I don’t get up your way often, so I wanted to make it count.
Breaking from my WLF choring to eat lunch.
Still to do:
– Clean out three more raised beds
– Plant garlic
I’ve been debating on planting some garlic – not sure if I will……….
Mine are now in the ground, including my first attempt at elephant garlic.
Worn out. Most areas of WLF have been dealt with and I pulled a bunch of tree roots out of one of my raised beds.
I planted field peas as a cover crop, and figured that I might get a bonus crop of field peas. Apparently some critter(s) thought my plan was awesome, because something has munched on the plants. I may look for a field/trail camera on Black Friday to get an idea of what is eating my crops overnight.
