Mysteriously hurt my right wrist getting into my car to drive home yesterday. 🤷ðŸ»â€â™‚ï¸
The M6 passed emissions inspection. If you live near East Atlanta I can recommend going to the gas station at Memorial/Maynard; my test cost only $20. Next up: paying for the license plate sticker.
Had a really tasty Paulie-altered Instant Pot vegetable lo mein last night, inspired by this recipe for it at Slap Dash Mom.
Are you still going to try the license renewal kiosk at Kroger? It is life-changing. Sorry your wrist hurts, ugh.
Home from a 2-day vacation in Helen. Day 1: walked the entire town, drank beer, rode the new alpine slide / coaster, played miniature golf. Day 2: hiked a total of nine miles at two locations—Anna Ruby Falls and Unicoi State Park.
Off to the vet soon for Nigel’s annual exam/vaccinations/bloodwork. He usually doesn’t do well at the vet… *Fingers crossed*
I meant license plate, not license…
Helen sounds fun, I haven’t been up there in forever & ever.
Someday……….
I went & shopped got some handles for the cabinets – so many choices, and they are so freakin expensive. We need 40 or 42, and at $5+ each – that’s a lot of money to open up cabinets & drawers.
Been since 1995 for me, Barb. Sounds like you had a good time, Bonnie.
Yep, plan to try Kroger today.
Best of luck with Nigel.
Ha! I was just in Helen on Sunday. 🙂 Exactly as I remembered. I ate beer and caramel apples.
Oh yeah, I ate all kinds of candy too… ðŸ˜
Hurt your wrist getting out of a car? A friend asked on social media what was the strangest way you’ve broken a bone. Her answer- fell out of a chair and broke her arm in 2 places- at a First Aid class!! Winner!
My planned date with Mahindra (my tractor) last night was foiled by the rain. Apparently it really rained a bit north, but we got some of the blow by. And enough lightning not to want to be the highest point in a pasture sitting on a large metal device.
But I did get a half hour on the trainer.
Trying to get to Debbie’s show today. Process machinery for the lumber industry. Process machinery in general fascinates me. Guess I really should have been some sort of engineer… oh well. These devices inspect and grade logs, and determine the best cuts on the log for the lumber you are trying to make. Lots of fun!!

Getting into my car actually. I’m becoming a physical mess. Part of me wants to quit my job and travel the world why I still (sort of) can.
My yard needs a lot of attention…
I paid $15 for my emissions –
I went by the tag office (something to do at lunch last week to get out of the office) and line was super long – so I actually paid the extra $1 to pay online. I thought about going to find a kiosk, but decided to just get it over with.
You win Barb!
Normally I renew online, this year I am going to try the fancy-pants new technology.
One of my online renewal stickers got “lost in the mailâ€, so I don’t want to play that game anymore. I’m lucky in that there is a kiosk in my Kroger, which is a 5-minute walk. The downtown tag agency is actually always quick, but still more of a hassle vs. hoofing over to Kroger.
Oh yeah, I hope to ride my trainer tonight. Who knows, maybe I’ll crazy and watch “The amazing Race†in real time as I do so.
Saw this today, thought you might get a kick out of it:

Nice. 😀
Listening to The White Stripes’s “Elephant†album — sixteen years later it still thrills me.
Now we’re talkin’…that album grabbed me from the first time I heard Seven Nation Army on the radio. Flash forward to today: what’s a radio?
