Other than reporting that I once again failed to achieve my goal of sixty minutes riding the trainer, and making a kick ass batch of hot and sour soup, I have nothing.
It’s 6am, and I have decided to see if I can catch another forty winks before I (re)start my day.
Wordle: four, my starter was GAUNT
Connections: perfect, Green > Yellow > Purple > Blue
Wordle in 3, connections perfect.
75-85 North was closed just south of University this morning. Waze took me through Lakewood… at least past the amphitheater and back on at Uni. I was first at the light, so 5 (6?) completely clear lanes until I got past 20. An amazing view, even in the fog.
Mexican at an old favorite that has been “remodeled”. The new tables have a pedestal so large we couldn’t get our feet past it in the booth. The tables are lovely, with the logo burned in, but really? And 2 inches too tall. Very odd.
40 minutes on the trainer. One of the losing contestants on Jeopardy last night looked like Mary Grove.
-FP
what? Mo Rocca looks like Mary Grove? that’s kind of funny.
Regular J, not that celebrity show!!
That is kind of funny. I didn’t watch Jeopardy last night. Had a good run at the mountain under a somewhat full moon.
I flip flop on how I feel about Mo Rocca. I’ve never had any issues with Mary . 🙂
I LOVE Mo Rocca, I think he’s hilarious. Do you ever listen to Wait Wait Don’t Tell Me on NPR? He’s a regular on that and he’s great.
I generally find Mo Rocca funny, just not all of the time.
I used to listen to WWDTM. In fact, I have seen it live twice, once in Chicago and once in Atlanta. I don’t recall why it fell off of my podcast rotation; I am such a fickle podcast listener it could be one of many reasons.
Yes, I’ve seen the live taping 2 or 3 times, once in Charleston and once or twice in Atlanta. It’s fun!
I saw two beautiful hawks on my run this morning. One was in the road trying to pick up something and was not even bothered by me. A little drizzle out there but the temps were nice. What a difference a week makes.
Wordle in 5 starting with HAWKS. No mistakes in Connections: blue, green, purple, yellow.
Blue – yellow- green – purple.
Wordle was not my friend – took me 5. I jsut could not see it
Wait, you failed to make soup? That is confusing.
They were supposed to install the glass for the shower yesterday. It’s a very small bathroom so it’s one straight sheet of glass that goes wall-to-wall with a door. Apparently they cut the door too small so now it might not even get installed this week. Fuck.
We went to the Iberian Pig last night and had a wonderful meal, as always. Continuing to watch It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Kevin is loving it.
Sorry my editor (me) failed to notice this poor word construction.
60 minutes on the trainer = FAIL
kick ass hot and sour soup = SUCCESS
Yay, soup!
Allan had a fun adventure with a hawk yesterday- usually walk ups to the firehouse are people hurt – but yesterday it was a hawk.
After some phone calls, they decided it needed to go to the Chattahoochee Nature Center in Roswell.
Best picture of him driving holding the hawk swaddled up like a baby in his arm.
When he got back to the station someone annoyed him – so he was grouchy when I called. I talked him into Hankook Taqueria to meet up for dinner – because really – how can Korean tacos not get you in a better mood???
Documented fact that Korean tacos will lift any mood!
Mmmm Hankook Taqueria….
I am keeping a list of places I want to visit for then I am in better financial and physical shape.
I’ve already started a rumor of lunch there soon. You better get on board.
Are you waiting for me to declare when I will be back in Florida? David can join in if that’s the case. 🙂
well – no liquor license means Hankook is a cheap restaurant option at least.
And -they have good dumplings – got them instead of the sesame fries.
Cheap, but disastrous for my growing waistline.
See also- beer.
Beer, at least the ones that I consume, has fallen off the “Cheap” list! This may work to my advantage…
I think there are worse things calorie wise than Korean tacos
Agreed, but you know I can’t go to Hankook and not order their fries too.
Its looking like I might be going to Drag Bingo up here in Marietta Friday night.
Should be interesting – it’s at Atlanta Hard Cider & Distillery – right by the Big Chicken, so it’s totally in the neighborhood.
Currently binge watching The Traitors Australia. They are doing almost as good of a job as the UK version, especially by creating villains. In the episode just watched one of the Traitors just backstabbed another, and it is teased that it will happen again in the next episode.
I made it five minutes into the US version by having too many US RealityTV people in the first season.
but – if you don’t know these US Reality TV people (I’m assuming you don’t know them) – why does it matter?
haven’t watched the show – so I have no idea
I know some, they are former Survivor players; two women, Rachel and Cerie, you’d recognize both. I just have tired of retreading these people when there are so many people who’d like to be on a reality show, yours truly not among them.
I stopped watching Survivor probably 15 years ago but I did enjoy it when Boston Rob and his wife (I forget her name) won Survivor and then went on to compete on The Amazing Race.
Amber
Boston Rob is on a show called Deal or No Deal Island coming up this spring. He’s a reality show whore
Gotta pay the bills somehow! 🙂
I blame the producers, not the players.
Trying to motivate myself to:
– work
– clean
– get on the trainer
Even though I realized that I was missing one ingredient, I am currently baking a pumpkin bread, so the latter will have to wait until it is done.
Just tasted the pumpkin bread and it is gooooood!
