I don’t have much today. Yesterday I did a little WLF choring, potato planting and some seedling transplanting.

Last night I went to the hash. We ran around Decatur, and the ended at The Marlay House.

Today? More choring, followed by a night of indoor choring including getting all of my tax paperwork in order. Don’t be envious… LOL

Hope your week has gotten off to a good start.

Tuesday Tale of the Tape: 186.8 pounds (-0.4 from last week’s weigh-in); good news.

I solved today’s Wordle in TWO! Woot!

I think using a letter twice in Wordle should be banned. In 5.

A few chores once I got home. I bought a camping chair that’s really small and light. A table is coming soon as well. The chair took some effort to assemble, only because it needed to be stretched.

Fired up the pressure washer- normally a 2 pull device, no matter how long it sits, I thought I was in trouble. Nothing. Starter fluid didn’t help. F. Oh wait, turn the switch ON! Varooom!!

And we watched Great Brittish Bake Off, and have ordered all we need to make one of the challenges- molten chocolate cake with peanut butter center. Stay tuned.

The hash was fun, glad I went. I signed up to hare a birthday Moonlight trail on April 25, the day after STU. Not too smart, I’ll be exhausted.

The Accord will be in the shop all week getting the O2 sensor replaced. Unless the Uber pricing is favorable enough for me to go fetch it. This morning I will bike or walk to CHaRM to drop off a bulging phone battery and whatever else I can fit in My backpack. The husband doesn’t actually leave until 6:15 PM but there’s no need to drive.

Isn’t there a tractor supply or some sort of store like that near the dealership? Or a brewery you haven’t been to? Hitch a ride with Paulie?

I decided to catch up on some DVR shows last night – there’s a network show called Big Sky. 1st season was good, but its gone downhill ever since. It’s entertaining, but everyone is so dumb. So much is just unbelievable. (Allan quit watching it because of that, it was just infuriating him how its written) But, it makes me laugh. But I hope it get’s cancelled so I don’t have to watch much more of it.

Tonight – 6pm – The Batman. $5 at the Studio Movie Grill on Tuesdays. We will see if Robert Pattinson can even come close to Christian Bale as Batman.

I think only a hasher could get today’s Wordle in 2. 😉 I had 3 letters in the correct place on the second try but it took me all 6 attempts to get the word. Close call.

Today I get to make the acquaintance of yet another surgeon in order to get a hernia repaired. Life comes at us fast sometimes. I’m hoping to get the surgery done soon so I can get a 2 for 1 on pain meds/recovery time. After decades of wondering why the hell am I paying into the health insurance system I now see why.

When it rains, it pours. I hope everything works out.

      • Barb says:

Allan went to his cardiologist yesterday (he has AFib) and the prescription text said it was going to be $1800+ for whatever pill.
I think he needs to check with them on getting his insurance updated. That was shocking text. I’m still fighting a losing battle with dental insurance on my periodontal work. Guess I should call over there again.

I was just reminded of my Emory Healthy Brain Study appointment coming on Friday. MRI and lumbar puncture! Whoopee!!

      • Hey, I’m the one who has injuries and body issues. Quit trying to horn in!

Kidding, of course. Best of luck to you David, and to Allan and you too, Barb.

      • Bonnie says:

Yeah, that “2 for 1” makes total sense! Good luck. I have a high deductible so I often feel like I don’t even have insurance. But I know it will come in handy on the big stuff. I’ve been in the hospital once and while I choked down paying my $5,000 balance, the “real” balance was over $25,000. Yikes.

        • Bob says:

Thankfully when Travis was born Laura had amazing insurance. He spent some time in the NICU so all told he was a $50,000 baby. I don’t think we paid more than a couple hundred bucks for deductibles.
Like Barb said, I don’t know how people without insurance can make it.

  4. Out in WLF trying to figure out a way from it getting too shady this year. The branches are just so damn large, and high up in the trees.

    Paulie needs some vittles!

  5. Barb says:

I got the Wordle is 2 – thanks for the hint on a double letter

  6. Barb says:

and – insurance updated – Allan’s prescription that was $1859 is now $30. People that don’t have insurance are killed by prescription costs. just damn.

  7. Barb says:

today’s 80s movie is Some Kind of Wonderful.

  8. Pleased because not only did I FINALLY find the bag of landscape fabric staples that I knew I had bought, but the two bean cages I built today fit perfectly in the pots. Woot!

Now, rest, and then maybe a trip to Target.
