Hey, the site was updated and I am still here! 🎉
If you know me you probably know that I am very good at one thing, falling asleep. Let me quickly make the clarification that “falling asleep†is vastly different from “sleepingâ€, as I can fall asleep quickly but rarely remain asleep for the entire night.
Knowing this I should never, I say never, allow myself to lay down under covers to watch TV after eating, unless of course I have no desire to do anything except wake up, rustle, and return to sleep for the all night long. Which, you might correctly gather, is what happened last night.
Positives:
I did put in a 45 minute workout on the trainer.
While I didn’t make a new batch of food, I did eat leftovers that were residing in my refrigerator.
Negatives:
That is all I did last night.
A happy Lunar (aka “Chineseâ€) New Year to you all tomorrow. I am going to be treated to some homemade dumplings at a friend’s house tomorrow night. Woot!
My goal was to ride, but Debbie was watching a movie when I got home, which I didn’t want to get in the middle of, so I went and laid in bed and read… and napped. And by the time I was moving, I was unmotivated to ride.
I will get out at some point this weekend and ride the road. MUST!
First national assignment received- College road natz in Augusta. I had better gotten that one. Hopefully, some others as well.

I also wanted to watch the Tour Down Under last night, but slept through it.
I can’t start watching at 10PM, and NBCSN isn’t rebroadcasting it. GCN is also streaming it (I think).

I was also lazy last night. After cooking dinner I watched half of “The Irishman.†It is long AF at 3 1/2 hours (!), and I can’t say all that gripping. But I’ll finish it. This week I also finished “The Man In The High Castle†series and I started S3 of “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.â€
The only plans I currently have for the weekend is a get-together at my friend Judy’s house Saturday night. She buys better wine than I do so I’ll be partaking in that ðŸ˜.
Ooooh I think Judy’s heritage is Chinese, so perhaps she’ll serve some yummy Asian treats too? 🤔

Speaking of showing off, yesterday I came in under my allotted calorie limit again. Yay me!

My lunch is a bagged Kroger salad, which I am now discovering contains cilantro. Ewwww, soap… 😖
Workout at lunch- 400W repeats!! Not very many, but you have to start somewhere. And I splurged and had a bag of Fritos with my sandwich. Those have a lot of calories.
what is a 400W repeat?
400 watts… I did the first couple for 2 minutes, then that was too much, so I did them for a minute. I don’t really have much time at lunch, so I have a real short warm up and then get down to business. On and off in 25 minutes.

I get to go to Iowa this weekend- it is currently snowing – I just hope by 9:30pm flight isn’t delayed. I need to schedule a Lyft to get from the airport home, my brother bailed on picking me up, and I tell my parents to not drive at night.
I’ve lined up my free tickets for Abba Mania Saturday night- Jeff Pike plays Bennie in this band, and he said if I went to Iowa he’d get me tickets. Taking mom, this should be interesting since she has no idea who Abba is.
Other than that – I’m going to try to get her to get rid of some clothes or get rid of something in a closet or 2. We will see……….
