Blame Uncle Sam

Top priorities are:
Do ninety minutes on trainer. Didn’t happen, I was too unmotivated even though I feel the fat returning.
Meet with tax preparer this morning.
Go to work to earn money for next year’s income tax preparation.
Locate Sharpened Stone LLC dissolution paperwork to avoid filing tax paperwork with Georgia Government.
Learn German (because this must be a daily priority for test preparation).

And now you know why today’s blog post is so short.

Cheers,
Paulie [eatl/ga]

I need to do our taxes – just haven’t felt like sitting at the computer at home. I really need to force myself.

We actually road our road bikes outside, on the roads, after work yesterday. What a gorgeous evening. But – the 17 mile loop (to Kennesaw Mtn, but not up) was way too hard, damn those hills seem big when you haven’t ridden in forever.
Guess we need to get back to riding more often. I really need to get in shape for STU, so I don’t die out there that weekend.

Taxes? Oh yeah, need to start working on those sometime soon.

What a lovely day yesterday. Should have gotten out on my bike, but chores got in the way. Debbie bumped her truck into something solid when leaving a parking space and bent the bumper a bit. A 10′ long 4×4 and a load strap managed to straighten it out so it didn’t keep the tailgate from coming off.

The mower and chain saw are loaded for a stop in East Point on the way home. I’m sure the weeds are sprouting big time.

I do my taxes on the same day every year: April 14.

No biking for me, but I did take a stroll down to the Trader Joe’s in Midtown after work. When I had gotten home from work, I realized I was out of wine. Needed wine to watch some primary election results come in, after all.

Learned on a lunchtime walk last week that apparently Atlanta has Food Truck Wednesdays down at Underground Atlanta from 11-2pm, so Frank (hasher Royal F*ck) and I are going to go check that out at lunch today. The appeal of the Food Truck will never go away for me. I love food. From trucks. 🙂

And it’s Food Truck Thursday in Midtown, at the lot at Peachtree and 12th. Always popular.

  5. Barb says:

I wish I could join you for the food trucks – I don’t eat enough food from trucks.

  6. Stacy says:

Oooh, that is good to know, Steve!

And, right, Barb? There should be much more food from trucks in our lives.

  7. I haven’t eaten from a food truck in too long…

  8. Stacy says:

    DENIED! 🙁

Apparently they don’t have food trucks anymore. I shame-tweeted them that they broke our hearts today and they should take down the advertisements saying they do.

But we found Naan Stop — Indian food that started as a food truck — so, hey. That worked.

  9. Steve says:

    Tragic.

  10. Barb says:

does the Food Truck Park at Howell Mill still exist?

  11. I believe it does, though I’ve never tried going to it.
