I Am Leading An Odd Life

Those of you who followed yesteday’s comments know that I am at a doctor’s office this morning to have some cysts on my back examined, and hopefully for at least the one which has caused me great discomfort over the past week, eradicated.

If there happened to be a female love interest secretly following this space up until now, let me state how sorry I am for bringing my maladies to the public for all to read. I am hoping that this procedure, or at least any which may follow, restores some of my self-confidence.

I am writing today’s abbreviated blog on my personal iPad 3 because essentially every waking moment I’ve had today has been dedicated to making attempts at porting and improving my code for work.

Did I mention that I woke up at 2am (ish) today?

I’m Better At Consuming Calories Than Burning Them
I guess in part my poor sleep was a consequence of the chicken wings and two large beers I had at Outback with my boss after walking 3.75 miles with him and another coworker. Not only was my choice of food unhealthy, I had completely forgotten that I had intended to make yesterday a vegetarian day; I had eaten a veggie burger and fries for lunch.

Oh well, maybe I can get the doctor to push out a few pounds of fat though the cysts. I know, it doesn’t work quite that way.

Saying “No” (Thank You) To The “O”
Also mentioned in yesterday’s comments was the fact that I backed out of my company-planned trip to Orlando when I found out that it conflicted with my previously-committed and pre-paid trip to Black Mountain, NC for LEAF. Not even a modern-day surgeon could slice me in a way that would allow me to be in both places at once.

Okay, it’s time to take care of some more medical paperwork. Until tomorrow friends.

Cheers,
Paulie [eatl/ga]

I get to go to the dentist at 3pm, then I’m going home & hopefully we will start to plant some of the garden.

I hope the doctor is able to calm your fears of these nagging cysts and you can move forward..

Chickens are just one step away from being vegatables… just sayin’

I don’t care how many georgeous nurses I see here at Piedmont hospital, I’m already tired of being here.

    And spoiler alert!!!!

I’ll be coming back next Thursday to have the cysts worked on. And, I’ll have to beg to have someone drop me off at 11am and pick me up later in the afternoon. Ugh.

Good to hear you are taking care of you! I’m sure no begging will be necessary for a ride, there will be people lined up to volunteer.

I have been lurking on your forum for a year or so. Young, pretty, no tattoos, short hair. Alas, now our love can never fully blossom, as you have mentioned the one thing I can’t abide: back cysts. Que sera, sera …

  6. Normally I wouldn’t stand for such Tom Foolery, especially when kicking a man with a cyst-infested back whilst he’s down. But I’m feeling charitable today for I feel I need to pay a few things forward so that I can get a ride to and from the hospital next Thursday.

Boom, BOOM! Down goes Paulie! 🙂
