I Love Mondays When I Have Tuesday Off

Natural Born Killer
For the first time I’ve killed something larger than a breadbox (does anyone even know what a breadbox is?), but I admit it was a complete accident. On Friday night driving home from the “Buford Highway Shoe Show” (I’d link to it, but it’s certainly not work safe) where we spent the evening celebrating a friend’s birthday I hit and killed a raccoon. The rain had started coming down in buckets and I simply didn’t see the animal until it was too late. To be honest, I still feel badly about this.

My World Cup Has Started
Even without Lance and all of the huge blood doping stars who have been banned, I still love watch le Tour de France. During this time of year working for a satellite tv company and having a tv on my desk is very beneficial because I get to listen to the tour live at work. I hope South Carolina’s George Hincape can hold the yellow jersey for a while.

My Hairstylist Is A Hasher
Who knew? On Saturday when I told Stephanie (aka “Bad Head”) that I was planning to do a Pub Crawl tomorrow her reply was “You’re a hasher?” It’s so funny when I’m out and I meet people who have hashed in the past or at least know to what I am referring when I tell them I am a hasher.

Red, White, Black and Blue
I’ve managed to run two Twisted Ankle half-marathons without twisting my ankle. I was not as fortunate on my first trail run out at Sweetwater State Park yesterday.

I am glad that I am only planning on walking the Peachtree Pub Crawl tomorrow instead of trying to run on my gimpy ankle, however I wish I could figure out how not to injure myself especially when I am trying to lose weight.

America’s Birthday Is Tomorrow, Today’s Is Someone Else’
My friend Nicola has a birthday today. It’s one of those birthdays that ends with a zero, but I won’t mention which one. I will say that she is much younger than me, perhaps by almost eleven years (remember that I turn forty-one soon).

Happy Birthday Nicola!

And now for some ideas stolen from LiveJournal…
Current Mood – swollen and depressed
Current Music – Sirius Satellite Radio, Channel 26 playing The Decemberists — “16 Military Wives”
Website Of The Day – It’s been ten years (wow) since Atlanta hosted the Olympics. Now Centennial Park hosts concerts and of course downtown’s fireworks.

If you ever want a quick glance of the sites I’ve picked for my Websites Of The Day, you can check them out on del.icio.us, my user name is InsideThePerimeter (go figure), and they are all tagged as “blogged.”

Exercise (b)Log – about a mile of running before turning my ankle

Cheers,
Paulie [eatl/ga]

  2. Real sorry I missed the party. I was feeling crummy all day and didn’t think that I would be the most popular person if I was sneezing and sniffling the entire party. From what I heard yesterday a good time was had by all.

I was there for the naming of your hairdresser, she is/was friends with ‘Good Head’ (Rachel), Janie aka Yeast Infection’s daughter. Somewhere out there in Red Eye’s vault of pictures, there is some great pictures of those 2 at a Prom From Hell held at Atlanta Brewing. Wigs and leather outfits….. use your imagination.
