Sunday: Close, But No Cigar

The final day had arrived.

Breakfast
The day started with a breakfast that is commonplace around my house on the weekend. I cooked up some frozen biscuits and eggs, this time covering the eggs with some BaconSalt that I had in the pantry. As I calculated the other day the total cost for the two biscuits ($0.54) and eggs was ($0.24) was $0.78.

With the food I drank a glass of milk from a gallon I had purchased last weekend. The gallon of milk cost me $3.50, so my sixteen-ounce glass cost me $0.44.

Total cost = $1.22

Very red, but very delicious.
Baked Eggs (With BaconSalt) And Biscuits

Lunch
Skipped again! (a much needed savings)

Total cost = $0.00

Dinner
The original plan was to meet up with a buddy of mine for dinner and drinks. That fell through, so I found myself home again. Not being in the mood to cook I went the “bachelor” route by reheating some frozen pizza from a pie I had cooked up last weekend and drink a few beers with it.

The two slices of pizza came from a frozen pie purchased for $8.95 and yielded eight slices. Therefore my two slices cost me $2.24.
The beer were already in my refrigerator as well, and the six-pack from which they came cost me $7.99. Therefore my two beers cost me $1.33

Total cost = $3.57

It Should Also Be Noted
I also ate a cup of cheese soup and drank two beers at the end of the Black Sheep Hash. It costs $7 to run the hash and the beer and soup were included in that price so I haven’t penalized myself for those. During a completely strict competition I would have either skipped the hash or made sure not to consume any food or alcohol at the end.

Tale Of The Tape
The day’s total cost = $4.79
The week’s total cost = $30.97
