Saturday : And To Think I Was Worried About The Weekend

I hadn’t realized how little I eat when I spend the weekend at home. I wound up eating only two meals on Saturday, neither of which were very photogenic.

Breakfast
I started the day microwaving a half-cup of Quick Grits ($0.08), and to provide them with a little extra flavor I topped them with a pat of butter ($0.09) and a handful sharp cheddar cheese (~$0.50).

With the food I drank a glass of milk from a gallon I had purchased last weekend. The gallon of milk cost me $3.50, so my sixteen-ounce glass cost me $0.44.

Total cost = $1.10

Lunch
Skipped! (a much needed savings)

Total cost = $0.00

Dinner
The original plan was to meet up with a buddy of mine for dinner and drinks. That fell through, so I found myself home again. Not being in the mood to cook I went the “bachelor” route by reheating some frozen pizza from a pie I had cooked up last weekend and drink a few beers with it.

The two slices of pizza came from a frozen pie purchased for $8.95 and yielded eight slices. Therefore my two slices cost me $2.24.
The beer were already in my refrigerator as well, and the six-pack from which they came cost me $7.99. Therefore my two beers cost me $2.66

Total cost = $4.90

Tale Of The Tape
The day’s total cost = $6.00
The week’s total cost = $26.18
