Year Nine Delayed Until Lunch

I have a very busy morning at work and since I was a good boy and got up to Perimeter Mall and walked this morning I’ll have to delay today’s blog post until lunch time.

    It took most of yesterday but I got all my files and programs over to the new laptop. One little set back. Looks like the upgrade made my (your old) scanner obsolete. I had managed to keep it going on my old XP OS, patching together some drivers from older OS, we couldn’t get it to work on Jerry Win 7 and there is no way I can get it to work with Win 8… thank you for many good years 🙂

    It’s been a week…I’m bored and ready to go back to work. I just had to send out an email with information on collecting Unemployment benefits to some of my staff…this sucks.

    Goal for today is to be more active and productive than yesterday (that wont be to hard)…Have a great day everyone!

    Bike maintenance night at Mango & Kat’s tonight, Brats (I think) are the main dish, and I’m making some crock pot mac n cheese. I wanted to make something maybe slightly healthier, but no free time, so crockpot mac n cheese it is, so very simple.

    Tile got grouted last night, I didn’t get to help, well, except to run back to Floor & Decor to get some more grout. 1 bag wasn’t enough. Nice store, good selection, but TERRIBLE checkout, only one cashier, and it takes forever for people to return tile. I was so mad about my 20 minute wait in line to spend money that I sent the store manager an email about it. I usually get over it by the time I get home, but it was so annoying. Tile looks really good. Now to get it sealed & we are done! (with that project). Then back to the basement room.

    The pics look great Barb. Now that your practicced, come on down tot he farm and we’ll do a whole lot more!!

    Last Games meeting last night, now the real fun begins Saturday. For those that make the Big Green Egg event, come across to our field and ask anyone with a radio for me.

    Steve – tile is NOT that much fun, really…… and we are going to do the entire basement at some point, the soon to be 2nd guest room wil be done soon, I sure hope TJ is available to help.

    Things I’ve learned this week –
    1. if I have to help, smaller tiles are better, those 20x20s were very heavy.
    2. keep my mouth shut & just do as I’m told, my opinion is not needed.
    3. black grout is very messy, and hard to clean up. (I think the garage floor will never be the same)
    4. it looks damn good in the end, but the whole process makes you wonder.
