I feel as if I’ve been cheated this year.
Get ready to put away those white shoes.
Today’s Daily Challenge
Do side-to-side lunges for a count of ten.
This exercise brings a good stretch to the lower back. It’s a sensitive area for many, prone to muscle aches and pains. But muscles that are flexible are less likely to become injured during everyday activities such as lifting, bending, and twisting. Bonus: The quick motions will get your heart rate up and bring a quick bit of energy to your day.
Oh stretching, I should do you more often…
Hello Taco Mac, It’s Been A While
Last night I joined my usual crowd for a little Taco Mac to celebrate the return of college football. I have no great hopes that my beloved Florida Gators will be anything better than mediocre, but this is the time of college football season where all fans can dream.

If the weather holds up tomorrow morning I shall be headed downtown, camera in tow, to shoot at the DragonCon parade.
Drop Off Complete
The other night ITP-Reader Barb chastised me for not taking things to Goodwill. “It’s right next to the REI near your office!” I know, it’s just a royal pain in the ass to drive to from my office.
Since I arrived at Goodwill before they opened this morning I decided to just drop the box of items I’ve collected recently at their front door. I feel as if I’ve already accomplished something valuable today.
Laying Low Tonight
I slept late this morning so I will most likely work later than I normally would in an effort to miss the inevitably shitty traffic that will occur with everyone trying to escape town or head to the Braves game.
Speaking of the Braves, my beloved NY Mets will be in town Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday of next week. If the weather is nice on Monday afternoon I may head over to Turner Field for the game. I had also planned to fulfill one of my “Bucket List” items by sneaking out of work on Wednesday to attend the Wednesday afternoon “getaway game.” However, I was quickly reminded that I have committed to go out to Gwinnett on Wednesday night for the Muse concert at Gwinnett Arena.
In addition to everything else I think that I will try to listen to two entire audio books this weekend.
What’s on your Labor Day agenda?

Today is Day 1 of the Birthday Weekend and it has started off with a great surprise…after two weeks with no AC it started working today (for no obvious reason). I will not question this gift! We should also be receiving the paperwork for the renovation loan, hopefully everything is okay this time.
Jerry and I both have been working on flexibility, but we both (but more Jerry) need to focus more on it. I see some yoga in our weekend plans.
No big plans for the weekend. We are going to watch UC and Purdue play tomorrow at noon…since I am a big meanie and didn’t want to drive to Cinny for the game. Maybe some birthday shopping … I’ll just be happy to not do much of anything.
Sitting at the tractor dealer in Barnesville. Farley is back at the vet- planned observation, no issues. Tomorrow is a high school reunion party at manuels tavern. My eye is swollen like Debbie caught me when I wasn’t looking. Don’t know why but it is. Hopefully there is exercise in my weekend plans.

Steve, I don’t think you want to keep battling me with weird health issues.
End of summer just means Cyclocross is right around the corner followed by Snake Creek! Yes I am mentally unbalanced, I can’t wait for these 2 series.
Steve, sounds like something I get often. Doc called it folleculites (or something) basically an ingrown eyelash. My eyelid swells up and looks like I got in a fight. It usually goes away but if it stays swollen too long you will have to do a run of antibiotics.
I still have 3 weeks of vacation to use or I lose it. My boss emailed my team and said “use your pto, we can’t have the whole team off in December”. So I am now planning a mtn bike vacation in 3 states. Tentative plan is to ride Coldwater in Alabama, Racoon Mtn in Chattanooga, 2 days of Tsali, and 2 days of Pisgah. Should be fun!
Trying to get a 8 hours days work done in 4 hours – not fun. Leaving here in 30 minutes…..
Heading to Lake Keowee, SC this afternoon, coming back Sat. night. Heading to Ellijay to spend the day Sunday with Sharon & JoAnna, not sure what we are doing up there yet.
Monday – who knows……… hopefully ride the bikes.
and – good job on stopping at Goodwill!
Thanks.
Interesting turn of events in the Perimeter Mall area. A wreck that happened around 11:30am shutdown 285 westbound near Sandy Springs.
And, our office building has lost water pressure.
FUN!
I’ve made it to the eye doctor and there was a jumper on Memorial and 285. Crazy day.
I am in the car heading home. Our office building was evacuated because of the lack of water pressure. Happy Labor Day everybody!
