What of it!
Today’s Personal Project
To look like a tourist in Manhattan. I’m kidding.
Today’s Daily Challenge
Find a local place that serves healthy food, then write down the info or store it in your phone.
When it comes to eating out, being prepared is half the battle! When you’re hungry and looking for a restaurant or take-out place, now you’ll know where to go for the healthiest options. This will lessen the temptation (or desperation) to stop at the closet fast-food chain or corner store for a salty burger or cheesy burrito.
I’ll pass on this for now since “local” won’t be local when I return home next week.

Okay, this is a screen shot, but a good screenshot.
Yesterday my brother and I ate brunch at the City Island Diner. By good fortune this very table was available so we took it. I was seated where Jerry Seinfeld is seated, my brother
and now for the rest of the story…
is seated where Ricky Gervais is seated. I had “two eggs” on a roll. I was not nerdy enough to ask anyone to take a photo of us, however.
Unrelated, I saw two attractive young ladies eating pancakes! (The movement is on!). The magic was lost when one whipped out her phone, took a photo, and posted to Instagram. 😉 Yeah, right.
Have A Great Weekend

Are you having such a good time you just quit the blog mid-sentence?
Have a great weekend everyone!
Sort of. I moved over to help debug an old Apple iBook issue with my brother and then decided to post the blog entry. Ooops.
Did you take a picture with you and your brother at that table? You should post that.
Read the update of the update. 🙂 The answer is “no, no photo was taken of us.”
Further update. This morning four people were shot near the Empire State Building. Looks like that’s scratched off the “To Do” list today.
I see a typo! 🙂
“Unrelated, I saw to attractive young ladies”
As for the ESB, what was the news I woke up to today, absolutely horrible as i walk past the area just about everyday on my way to work.
so, since I have no idea what that picture was from….. enlighten me please.
the SUP demo last night was fun, but the boards cost way too much money, so I don’t think I will get one anytime soon.
So, Lance is guilty? Bummer.
no, he isn’t admitting he is guilty, he is giving up the fight.
Barb, it’s from Jerry Seinfeld’s YouTube series.
OK, so here’s the deal-
Had Lance fought it and went to arbitration, it would have possibly proved that he did in fact dope, which would have sealed his fate. As it rests now, just no longer fighting still leaves the question open. USADA (I don’t think) has any jurisdiction in removing his “titles”- that would only be the UCI, who is on LA’s side. Also, it would have dragged the UCI into the fray, and shown them possibly to be complicit in all of this- or at least to have looked the other way and not wanted to penalize him when the positives came back.
This ain’t quite over…

Well in happy bike news, I went for my fitting today and I think I’ve found my new ride plus a few other things.
So my current bike is too big (no surprise) and I really shouldn’t be riding more than 40 on it, or I’ll be hurting (which is true). He can make a few mods, that will help. A new seat post and the post for the handle bar (from 9 to 7 cm) will help.
I’m the “ideal” candidate for a 650. Anyone have an option on Felt bikes?
so, you are thinking a Felt? As far as I know, those are decent bikes. Allan doesn’t like the 650 wheels, just because you have to have special tubes, so you can never “borrow” one from someone out riding if you get a flat.
I don’t think we have any connextions anywhere on Felts, but I’ll ask Allan.
AND – Get the info/specs on the new seat post & stem, Allan might be able to get them a whole lot cheaper.
Cool. I have been enjoying Jerry’s videos.
