A Funny Thing Happened On My Way To Getting To Work Early

I was wide awake at 0500, However I managed to close my eyes again and the next time they reopened it was 0700. Though I was then very well rested I still couldn’t manage to force myself out of bed immediately, and now at the office “late.” Blerg!

I wish I had fantastic news to post today, but alas I don’t. For a moment last night I thought all of my tooth discomfort had abated, but this morning it seems to have returned. While I think it’s good to have a dentist appointment two weeks away, if the issue doesn’t go away on its own by then I’ll be shitting my pants that it’s an actual problem. This would be less worrisome to me if it weren’t in the front part of my mouth. I may not have the handsomest of faces, but up until now I have been blessed with naturally (fairly) straight teeth and a decent smile and would like to keep things that way.

With a big day of potential upheaval ahead of me I don’t have time to say much in the blog. It appears that today will be an unusually beautiful day for our long-distance BRAGgart riders. I hope that it remains lovely and that I am able to escape the confines of my office to enjoy tonight’s East Atlanta Farmers Market.

Until tomorrow friends!

Cheers,
Paulie [eatl/ga]

I wouldn’t worry too much about your teeth, I can’t imagine a senario, other than an acute trama, that would mess up your mouth in the span of 6 months. Not knowing the exact nature of your pain, it may just be sensitive teeth or stress/grinding…

I slept in (well I stayed in bed, I’m not really sleeping much these days) but I’m working from home so I made up the time with my short commute.

I sort of wish I was running or biking today, instead I’ll be heading to the gym around noon for what looks to be a hellish WOD. At least I’m able to sit at the kitchen table, with the back door open, watching Bode staring at the squirles.

  2. Martha, some of the boys here at work are considering riding Silk Sheets on Sunday (time uncertain yet, I’ll try to steer them to the earlier side of the day). If you want to put a hurting on us, let me know and I’ll let you know as soon as we’ve picked a time and meeting location.

  3. Well, looks like my Farmers Market plans just got shot in the ass. I’ve been pulled into a meeting that’s scheduled to run from 4:00 – 6:00 this afternoon. FML.

I’m not sure about me putting the hurt on anyone but keep me inthe loop. Thanks!

A “good” run last night. Shortened my stride a bit to allow for the strained calf and managed almost 5 miles with some walk breaks. No need to push it.

And I got a random email (at least at first glance it was random) saying something about a beer after the ride tonight. Sounds like my kind of people, so I looked into it and then I remembered I signed up for the Southside Bicycle Club- they have a regular Thursday ride, with beer afterwards. Hmmm…

Sunday Silk Sheets? Hmmm… that might work. At least it would get me out of bed and on my bike.

A beautiful day to be on BRAG… and tonight should be Moonbase- oh boy.

Hey, remembered to check in finally.
Gorgeous day to ride, but mylegs just didn’t have it in them today. We drove toWinder, then rode out to the last rest stop. Only 10.5, so just 21 today. I think the tandem was just so different (Allan decides the pace),we did the 29 miles with some good hills. Then, plenty of beers last night…. Roswell did an excellent job hosting, really made every attempt to be sure everyone had fun.

This has been so opposite of last year, rain & cold, now just pleasant temps. Been camping with Roadkill all week, fun group of folks. Found some shade, it was tough today.

Woo Hoo! Have a great time. Don’t forget to have Verne teach you to play “Squint”.

  8. Barb says:

Didn’t I tell you? Vern isn’t riding this year. Long story, but health related.
