I don’t have much in the way of “All New” content today, so consider today’s blog a potpourri of content. Oh, and my arm is still sore from getting schooled in Wii bowling on Sunday. I considered buying my own Wii console after this weekend’s fun, but am stunned that the Wii still costs over $150. Eh, I certainly don’t need another item and time-suck in my life.
Today’s Daily Challenge
Eat one food that contains Omega-6 fatty acids, such as walnuts, canola, or vegetable oil, or tofu
Omega-6 fatty acids are essential nutrients that lower LDL (or “bad”) cholesterol. Foods that contain these nutrients help to reduce inflammation in the body and help protect against heart disease.
Fatty? Sure, I can try to eat that today. 😉
One More From The Weekend
I think that I forgot to mention one of the most enjoyable flights I have ever taken; it happened on Friday morning. Friday’s flight was the first time in many years that I was on a plane that was nearly empty. I didn’t take an official count, but there couldn’t have been more than twenty passengers on board. It was so empty that I chose to move to the middle seat so that I could stretch out and not feel constrained by either the window or the aisle. I realize that airlines can’t survive flying routes with as few passengers as happened on that flight, but it sure was a pleasant change over the sardine-like capacities which has become the norm.
So Close To Four-In-A-Row
I almost made it to my fourth consecutive vegetarian day yesterday. And then the RPS Flickr gang chose to meet at Pollo Campero. I’ve wanted to try Pollo Campero’s food, and given that “pollo” is Spanish for “chicken” it’s not a stretch to imagine that they don’t have many (if any) vegetarian options. Sadly the food at Pollo Campero was far from good and I doubt that I shall ever return.

Hmmm, nothing today. I need a good, swift, kick in the ass again.
RPS Is Blowing Up
Last night Roswell Photographic Society meetup was extremely well attended. It’s good to see that the group is going strong, though unfortunately for me the demographic has still not started leaning in the direction that I would prefer. I’m also a little concerned that if every one in the group which arrived last night submits a photo for critique then the critique night’s are going to go on forever.
Last night’s presentation was all about Photoshop manipulation. While I am always impressed at what people can do with Photoshop I just don’t have the skills, nor the free time necessary to acquire them, at this point in my life.
Looking Forward To Producing Some Music Reviews
I’ve been sent some music from at PR firm. Last night I downloaded three new releases. I have plans of loading music in addition to podcasts and audiobooks onto my iPod and listen to it all on my walks. My intent is to start reviewing some of the music sent to me, and perhaps exposing you all to some new music as I find out about it.

This is a test comment. Apparently it appears that I am the only one able to do this. 🙁
This is a test comment left using Internet Explorer while I am not signed in.
I am coming in through the Droid. I don’t know what’s going on.
I guess I need to send a test comment?
Not really Barb. Steve was (is) having issues posting comments from his browser. I tried a couple of comments on my side to see if I could track down the problem.
I don’t know what the hell is going on. When I get a free moment, I’ll see what is happening.
