And my scale’s batteries were dead.
Sonnabitch!
Next Wednesday will start Weigh-In Wednesdays!
Taco Mac, Back To Back
I had no intention of winding up at Taco Mac after work last night, but a simple text from a coworker made it happen. Since I’ve become “friends” (in an internet Facebook way) with so many of the waitresses at the Perimeter Taco Mac I’ve adopted a plan to no longer request to sit in a certain section. Of course that means I’ll sometime be punished by sitting in a dude’s section, and sometimes that dude will be a lousy waiter (see also dude who served us last night).
Related: I’ve also convinced myself that none of the young ladies there have interest in me. Shocking, I know. Same as it ever was.
If you ever see me at a Taco Mac would you do me a favor and remind me not to order the “Boneless Chicken Wings?” Not only are they ridiculously unhealthy I don’t think that the hunks of fried items which sit in the basket contain no chicken whatsoever.
Procrastination For The Win
Tonight is lavanderia night because as you’ve just read last night was not lavanderia night. I was also considering making today a vegetarian day — as a long lead in to Vegetarian Weekend — but then I went and left my meat-free pasta at home. D’Oh! Sure, I could still seek out vegetarian options at lunch time but where’s the fun in that. Ha! Seriously, since I’ll be doing laundry tonight I’ll probably be tempted by the lure of tacos at Las Tortas Locas so I might as well eat whatever the heck I want for lunch. I’ll save the pasta for tomorrow’s lunch and kick off Vegetarian Weekend early…

I do not like heights so the ramp inside the old section of Atlanta’s High Museum of Art. Because of my fear of heights it has always vexed me. I want to be able to walk down it without fear, but as of yet I’ve been unable to do so.
I can still stand near it and take photos, though.
Rewarding Myself
For the past few years I’ve been using credit cards which accrue “Rewards Points.” Normally I just blow shit like this off, but out of curiosity the other day I logged into the website associated with the Reward Points. Whadda ya know, these things might be useful! Sure these points are nothing more than modern day S&H Green Stamps, but I can get Amazon Gift Cards, and you know that unlike that Sears Gift Card, I’ll be able to find a million things to buy at Amazon. Sweeeeeet, now I just need to convert my points to gift cards so that I can commence to shopping!
Many Thanks
Thank you all for giving me suggestions yesterday. I’ve queued up a few things and have plans in place to implement others. I’ll “open my kimono” when these occur.

It was sort of “Weigh in Wednesday” for me as well. A scheduled physical and the scale was not my friend. This lack of quality work out time (i.e. interest) has definitely had an effect on my waistline.
Other than that, it was a fairly straightforward visit with my doc- a real card, who I suppose can’t be doing this much longer, as he’s 73!!
So, some of these cute waitrons might have a friend for you…

True they may, but in reality their friends are probably too young. Only one of the waitresses with whom I am friendly is over 30, and I think she’s 32/33.
Then that’s a place to start.. you’d be suprised what might happen.
Some of the female wait staff might have single mothers… some of them might even be in your preferred age range (example: my brother’s mother-in-law was a grandmother at 34).
Best of luck on starting vegetarian weekend early! We are looking forward to your visit to Raleigh-Durham this weekend (quick note: the Chapel Hill folks get mad when you leave out their corner of the Triangle).
Grandmother at 34? Wow.
Well, I right correct that Las Tortas Locals would do me in. I incorrectly expected it to happen at dinner instead of lunch.
Veggie weekend will begin tomorrow. I’m looking for to spending time up in RTP (how’s that?) too.
Since I’ve been going to Martha’s gym I can tell you that it’s very social, you meet lots of friendly people (and get in a good workout). You wouldn’t necessarily feel forced to talk to people because it just happens.
