In a glaring oversight I failed to give credit to Amity for turning me on to accuradio.com (yesterday’s “Website Of The Day”). I humbly apologize for my fuckup.
Old? Who’s Old?
Okay, I may live to regret this, that is if I manage to survive, but at the urging of my good friend Darren I have signed up to play the last five games in the Atlanta Australian Rules Football League. If all goes to plan I will be the most loveable mistfit playing for the Decatur Devils. At least I know that I can still drink with the young kids.
The Race Isn’t Nearly As Amazing When You Don’t Watch
Having gotten back into The Amazing Race last season I have been unable to watch this season’s episodes in a timely fashion. Even worse, as I mentioned in one of yesterday’s comments I was unable to record Sunday’s episode and CBS’ Innertube is not showing the entire episode.
I know that the hottie South Carolina cheerleaders were eliminated, but I still want to watch the episode to see what transpired.
I’ve only missed one episode, but I feel so far out of the loop already. Man I love bitorrent!
I’m Soon To Be A Member Of The Redundancy Of The Office Club
When the American version of The Office launched a couple of seasons ago I attempted to watch, but didn’t much care for it. I was a huge fan of the British version and felt that the American version didn’t compare. Here’s what I wrote on March 25, 2005
Give up NBC. Stop making, er remaking, comedies that aired on the BBC. Last Fall you tried Coupling, it tanked, and now The Office? Before watching the only two minutes I could stomach of last night’s pilot I already had it in my mind that I would hate it. I know, that’s not very objective but I am not a (professional) TV critic, nor do I play one on TV. I was right. Steve Carell, sorry but you are no Ricky Gervais (who btw – once attempted to be a “rock star†go here to find out more about his band Seona Dancing).
After multiple people have told me how great they think the show is I am ready to give it another chance. In order to do it right, I have ordered Season 1 on DVD and will get Season 2 soon. As I attempt to catch up I will record Season 3 on my DVR.

Did I scare you yesterday? I didn’t mean to do so. As the kids say, I was merely “keepin’ it real.” Here’s a happy little Austrian fellow to make life all better.
Better pictures will resume when I get around to taking more photos.
CD Pick Of The Week
Not a whole lot released today registers on the Paulie-o-Meter for music. The easy pick would be to go for The Lemonheads. Evan Dando has gotten the band back together (and replaced some members) to release the first The Lemonheads record in quite some time. Since I desire to be easy, I shall pick The Lemonheads release of “The Lemonheads” (you would think that after all the time they had to think of a name they could have come up with something better) as my “CD Pick Of The Week.” Tune in next week for a much more compelling segment….
btw- I am all for actually hearing and reviewing CDs if any of you out there has contacts or demos you wish to send me.
And now for some ideas stolen from LiveJournal…
Current Mood – empty
Current Music – Sirius Satellite Radio, Channel 26 playing White Whale — “The Admiral”
Website Of The Day – For more in-depth reviews of CDs check out CD Review.
Exercise (b)Log – none, it’s too easy to be lazy
Cheers,

OMG… You only wish you knew…
1) YEAY for you trying a new sport/hobby…YEAY!
2) I thought the same thing about The Office and while it still pains me from time to time, it’s actually fairly brilliant and different enough from the BBC version to not be an annoying wannabe.
3) The pic of you yesterday was actually pretty great, IMHO. One of the best I’ve seen of you, in fact. Finger and all.
Yeah, I am anxious to see how I do at Australian Rules.
I actually love the picture of me from yesterday. I also think it looks cool because it’s in B&W. Shooting a bird makes it “dirty”, but it really captured my feeling at the moment
DUDE—the Amazing Race was GREAT Sunday when the West Va. chick confessed that she hadn’t ever known a gay man until the race, and she, “like ‘em!†Whoo hoo that was FUNNY.
PS. The US version of The Office is pretty good and WAY easier to understand (without closed captioning) than the British one.
I’ve got the episode bitorrented so I’ll be watching tonight.
I really enjoyed the Brit version of The Office, I think that’s why I had a tough time with the American version. It’s been about 18 months, so I’ll have to see how I fare this time around.
