I’m Hoping Email Notifications Are Working Again Today…

Last night was a fairly productive evening. I picked up my prepared tax forms (ugh, things are worse than I was led to believe) and from there headed to a new laundromat, which wound up being okay (though I kicked myself later when I failed to take a photo of the place — stay tuned). From there I had intended to get my cheap Chinese buffet feedbag on, but found out that the buffet at which I normally eat is now closed on Tuesdays — which is probably a good thing for my waistline. With a lack of creativity I went home and grilled up a wonderfully tasteful hamburger and later ate a sweet potato I cooked up while I was seasoning an old cast iron skillet which had lost its beautiful black luster.

I’ve Lost That Syncing Feeling
I have been becoming more reliant on Evernote recently. With free clients for the Mac, iPhone/iPad, and Windows it is one piece of note-taking software that runs on most platforms that I use and can sync up to each. I keep my shopping lists on Evernote. I store links to information I need to read on Evernote. I take screenshots/photos of information I want to keep handy on Evernote.

However, for the last few days Evernote has not been syncing properly and I’ve wound up with notes on some devices which are not appearing on others, and notes which I’ve edited but the changes aren’t getting propagated.

Even worse, I have no workaround for my problem and I’ve been unable to contact Evernote with the proper information in order to get some assistance.

At this point I don’t know what to do. On the one hand I want to put all of my trust in Evernote’s capabilities, but on the other I have an almost unresolvable situation which is leaving me in a lurch.

Fear not, tomorrow I have something else planned.

They’re Not From Manchester, Nor Are They An Orchestra
Tonight I’ll be hanging at Variety Playhouse for the first of what may be, but probably won’t be, the first of two Manchester Orchestra shows I see this week. I’ll be sporting a hipster black t-shirt and my skanky old Puma sneakers, so if you see me, please say “Hello” (or “‘Sup,” or “Hey,” or whatever).

  1. Whoops! I got sidetracked and forgot to post.

Well my attempt to bring Casa del Martha in to the year 2005 was a big fail last night. I finally got a wireless router, hooked it up but didn’t seem to work. Amazon is sending another one today, with any luck tonight will be the night. Jerry got a new laptop and I just got word that I can stream Netflix through my Wii.

My dinner last night consisted of a slice of cold pizza, a bowl of cereal and a rice cake with cream cheese…I need to try a little harder tonight.

Why don’t you wear the new Chucks tonight?

  3. Ooh, the Chucks are a good suggestion. Unfortunately I’m not sure that I’ll have the time to swing home before the show.

Good luck with the wireless. I’ve found getting my wireless set up to be kinda a black art.

The Chucks are an excellent idea!!

I will be gracing George’s with my presence tonight.

  5. Martha says:

Now you know who to call for fashion advice 😉

I think the router was faulty…there didn’t seem to be any power (i.e. no lights would come on). If the second one doesn’t work then I will start to blame myself.

No running for me tonight but I do think I will walk to yoga.

  6. Steve says:

WHAT?? Sal at Georges? Surely my eyes deceive me.

As always, it will be nice to see you.

hey Martha – I’m glad you will be my guinea pig on the Netflix thru the Wii. We got the disk the other day, but haven’t even messed with it. Since all we have is a desktop computer at the house, I’ve had no need for wireless. But – we will get it if we can just stream the movies thru the TV.

anyone that is bored ITP, come by Mango’s tonight……… we will be there from about 6pm-10pm.

  8. Martha says:

I have no idea how much use we will get from the Netfilx/Wii comb. I hardly have time to watch the movies I have as it is. I wouldn’t be bothering with wireless if Jerry didn’t have the lap top. Now I’ll get to actually use my computer when he’s there.

Just want to say, it is amazing outside. I stepped out read a bit and drink my afternoon smoothie. 15 minutes and I’m already pretty pink!! In spite of the impending skin cancer I feel much better.
