M-e-h! Meh! Meh! Meh!

Within thirty minutes of football time my hopes of seeing the NY Jets in the Super Bowl were dashed yesterday. No condolences are needed, no retorts to Colt-fan comments will be provided.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. Here are two thousand and change for you.

  1. Barb says:

did you watch that 2nd game too? That was exhausting………

    That is one BIG horse.

I survived my parents visit, wasn’t really all that bad, went to 2 movies (got our money’s worth) on Friday, and played a lot of Wii.

  2. Nope. My interest in the football season ended with the Jets’ loss.

  3. Martha says:

    What movies did you see?

I couldn’t stay awake for the second game, I headed to bed at 8! The first game just wore me out.

That horse reminds me of this building I worked at in London, HUGE ASS horse out front. I’ll have to see if I’ve got a picture at home. I would love to find/make the time to see the Da Vinci exhibit.

  4. Barb says:

We saw Extraordinary Measures & then The Blind Side. Two true stories, both very emotional, but they were “watching with parents” friendly movies. (and, were ones that Allan said he didn’t care about seeing…. which means he doesn’t want his eyes to leak in public type of movies)

  5. Martha says:

We saw The Blind Side a few weeks ago and yes, Jerry’s eyes did break out in a ‘sweat’.

I got to watch Toy Story this weekend thanks to Sam and Bea…and I have Monty Pyton and the Holy Grail on DVD, can’t wait to watch it again, its been years (just have to do it when Jerry isn’t over…he wasn’t excited at all when I told him I had it, go figure).

  6. Steve says:

I went to see “Up in the Air” this weekend… not an uplifting movie (pun intended) as George Clooney’s character is the guy hired to fire people. Other good plot lines though…

Paulie, my condolences, Martha, good luck against the ‘aints.

Paulie, did you actually go to the DaVinci exhibit and what did you think about it?

  7. Steve says:

And to pick up on comments left on Friday- Dial soap was recently owned by the same company that owned Greyhound Bus Lines… how odd.

  8. Since I only had about an hour to play on Saturday morning I only roamed around the permanent collection, the only place photography is permitted.

I will try to get back to see the da Vinci exhibit, along with the Gary Weingarten photography exhibit which opened on Saturday.

  9. Barb says:

We saw “Up In The Air” back on Christmas Eve – I liked it, but I’m a George Clooney fan. I like movies that aren’t always to the exact formula happy ending story.

Martha – I’d like to see all those Monty Python movies again too – but some people don’t get it – too bad for them!

  10. Martha says:

I think tonight will be the night for some Python…I might have to make it a special occasion, I see pasta in my future!

Thanks Steve, I really can’t lose, while I will be pulling for the Colts in a couple of weeks, Drew Brees went to Purdue (took us to the Rose Bowl in 2001) so a Saints win wouldn’t kill me.
