Hmm it doesn’t feel like I had any time off. Yesterday I had to be lazy just because I was on the go Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
I Ain’t Never Gonna Be A Redneck
“It looks like they have been whipped up into a frenzy.” That was Mike’s assessment of the rampid dancing, posturing and first pumping at Saturday night’s Drive By Truckers show. I couldn’t have agreed more.
I was astounded at the number of people who knew the lyrics to every song that was played. Seriously, hundreds of people are that knowledgeable about this band! I knew exactly one song that gets played on Sirius’ channel 26 (you know, the channel that I reference about 90% of the time).
Tag And Release
Sunday is laundry day. Imagine my surprise when I unfurled the running tights that I wore on Thursday’s half marathon only to find all of the tags still attached to it! That’s right, I ran for over two hours and never realized that the tags (including that piece of cardboard that tells you all about the moisture-wicking features) were there. Crazy.
Even worse was that this was the second time in a week this sort of thing happened to me. Earlier last week I inadverently set off the alarms at Target because the pants I had purchased at Old Navy had a security chip sewed into the inside of one of the legs. I only noticed the chip later that afternoon when I was digging through my pocket for change.
I Had A Dream
Last night I had a dream that my NY Jets won a football game. As a diehard fan I was obligated to watch last night’s game between the Jets and the Saints. However, the game quite literally put me to sleep, so the outcome of the game came to me in my sleep. Yes, I checked the score this morning and found out that it was really a dream because the Jets lost 21-19. Very sad.
On The Brighter Side Of Football
Anyone else see the ASSwhooping Florida applied to Florida State Saturday? W00t! It would have been nice for them to have done the same thing to South Carolina so that they would have won their half of the SEC, but victories over Tennessee, Georgia, and Florida State made for a half-decent season.
Bye Bye Mr. Miyagi
One of the sad bits of news I heard over the weekend was that Pat Morita died. Known by fans of 1980s movies as Mr. Miyagi in The Karate Kid series, I will also remember him in his roll of Arnold on Happy Days.
Wax on. Wax off.
And now for some ideas stolen from LiveJournal…
Current Mood – fat; already regretting breakfast
Current Music – none, listening to the Geek News Central podcast

Exercise (b)Log – nothing, I watched a lot of football yesterday
