Took my mountain bike out for a short ride yesterday afternoon. I would have gone longer than the eight miles that I rode, except I left my water bottle behind and the two public fountains that I attempted to use were turned off.
Wordle: five, my starter was CURVE
Wordle in 4.
I really should have ridden yesterday, but wanted to get the ball rolling on some new glasses. By the time I got back home, I had another chore to do while it was nice outside and that was mount the mud flaps I bought for the GMC. I had to do some slight modifications as their screw holes weren’t quite in the right places. Hopefully I put in enough support. At $180 a pair, ‘taint cheap.
Slow day working from home yesterday. In the orifice today…

Quiet night at home last night watching the fourth season of Only Murders in the Building. We finally figured out our Hulu password, apparently once Disney acquired them you have to use your Disney credentials…which we also couldn’t remember.
I finally started watching the last season (or 2nd half of the last season) of Yellowstone – Its only 8 episodes – its an ok series, but I obviously wasn’t very invested, as I had forgotten about it.
wordle in 5 – matched Paulie again
Bob.. when you think the HOA is too much work…

it was too long, I couldn’t even read it all
As soon as something starts to make my eyes glaze over, I have ChatGPT cut to the chase for me:
A homeowners association (HOA) in Dripping Springs, Texas, has been accused of overstepping its authority by enforcing strict regulations and levying excessive fines on residents. Homeowners claim the HOA’s actions have led to financial strain and diminished property values. In response, local legislators are considering reforms to limit HOA powers and protect homeowners’ rights.
Here’s the prompt I used (tl;dr means too long; didn’t read):

(tl;dr is Internet-speak for too long, didn’t read)
I read the whole article, and ChatGPT isn’t quite right. One homeowner was conducting a business at their property that violated the noise ordinances. The neighbors lived with it for years before finally submitting a complaint to the HOA. The HOA sent them a warning and would have dropped it. But the homeowner literally lied to them and said they were not conducting a business, admitted lying to other neighbors, then got real bitchy about it. And after that all gloves were off.
I read about half of it – what a freakin mess
Beautiful day. Just finished a 5.5 mile walk. Didn’t think I was going to go that far, so I didn’t bring water (sound familiar?) but instead of trying to rely on public services, I bought a bottle of water at a gas station.
making some skyline chili from scratch – we will see how good it tastes
