What do CLOAK, CRAWL, CYBER, CHEAP, and CHOSE have in common? As of yesterday these were five of the Wordle solutions in the previous twelve days. WTF NYT, do you need a dictionary to find more words which begin with the other 25 letters?

Frustration set in yesterday when the power blipped a few times in the afternoon; FFS, I made it all through the worst of the weather without losing power! With the first blip one of my security cameras didn’t reconnect to my WiFi, and as of now nothing I have attempted has fixed this. Two other camera managed to rejoin without my intervention.

  1. Steve says:

Wordle in 3, which is amazing as I just had one vowel and completely whiffed my second guess because I wasn’t fully awake!

New stick on patches arrived so I can continue my cardiac monitoring. The last one was being held on with adhesive tape and not doing a very good job.

I watched (and Debbie tolerated) the latest Wallace and Gromet- Revenge Most Fowl or something like that. Very clever animation.

2025 SMHG- first meeting tonight. whoopee.

    • That’s funny! Well, the Wallace & Gromit bit. I don’t know who, if any of you, knows this but since I worked at Media4, the start up that was acquired by Dish Network in 1999, I’ve been a huge W&G fan. One of our test video streams was “The Wrong Trousers”. Last week in Goodwill I found a W&G DVD containing the first three shorts, and of course snatched it up!

  2. Barb says:

so, do I try my 2nd guess at Wordle starting with a C? is this a hint?

  3. Been a busy morning here at the ITP Estate. With (near) freezing temperatures returning overnight I decided to crank up the oven this morning and roast some eggplant, which frankly needed to be used very soon. What did I make? Baba Ghanoush!

In an hour I will put all of my ingredients into a crockpot for tonight’s dinner of Lima bean cassoulet.

    • Jenka says:

      Yay, baba ghanoush!

I have two perfectly serviceable crockpots right now but as soon as either one bites the dust I’m buying a programmable one. As it is now I can only make things that can cook for 10 hours because I have to turn it on before I leave for work.

  4. Jenka says:

It was 32 degrees when I left for work this morning and there was frost on the ground! But I don’t mind because all teh snow is all melted. The sidewalks have been treacherous!

We went for sushi at Ocean Wave and then watched football. None of the playoff games have turned out as I expected them to, except for the Bills. Crazy!

  5. It should come as no surprise that the CoA sanitation department is behind schedule. Therefore it should come as no surprise that they picked up neither trash nor recycling yesterday.
