On Saturday I succumbed to Duolingo’s “Super Duolingo for 60% off”. I knew an end of year offer would be made, and $60/year was something I felt I could afford.

Yesterday I (finally) registered for Big BRAG.

Compared to this year, next year’s vacations will be shorter, more local, and far less costly.

Wordle: two, my starter was SPEAR

    Wordle in 2!

Saturday, after getting all the pieces and parts together, I started working on running the Starlink’s cable to it’s final location. Thinking I needed a long bit to drill through a brace mid-wall, we found one at HD in Peachtree City. After further review, it was unnecessary. I learned the fish rod can’t bend like I thought- 4 pieces trashed when the little brass joints snapped. Once into the crawlspace, I was able to drill an access hole and build the fish rod as I needed and finally made it through. Sunday, with Debbie’s help of feeding the cable to me, i was able to determine the cable was too short! New cable tomorrow. Ahh.. home ownership!

2″ of rain Sunday morning. We were awakened at 4 by a tornado warning and I found a road closed on my scooter ride yesterday afternoon, but it just seemed like power lines were down and not a lot of damage.

In the NYT’s coverage of Jimmy Carter’s death, they referred to Manual’s Tavern as a “dive bar”. Discuss.

Wordle in 4. Kept guessing the wrong letter. Connections: g, y, b, p.
On Saturday, I did a long run at Kennesaw and then a hike with a friend at Sope Creek. Dinner at Barb and Allan’s. Yummy turkey soup and was sent home with leftovers. I worked on Sunday and then had a happy hour beer tasting afterwards. Working today. I did start taking down Christmas.

I was happy we didn’t have any storms last night.

We got the tornado warning and I hadn’t heard much rain before that. Shrtly after, the bottom fell out! No wind that I could tell.

Paulie – are you signed up for STU?

  4. Barb says:

    busy enough weekend –
Friday night chilled here with a steelhead trout dinner.

Saturday morning – went on a little under 5 mile walkabout with Davey –
Saturday night Sal & Kevin helped up eat some of the turkey soup Allan made, the freezer is pretty full, so not enough room to freeze a ton of it.

Sunday – I went to BS, but after the rain, I decided I didn’t want to get THAT wet on trail, so Davey & Deposit & I did our own version of trail – shorter & gentler.

it only brings me joy when I get it quick – if I have to think too hard, it doesn’t.
    Today was a guessing game – but – I got them all – Perfect score. Y – B – G – P. (purple was a dumb category)

  6. I’ve gotten a report of a Wordle Ace today. Randy, aka half of the Raleigh Royalty got his first ace today.
