While rooting through a bookcase yesterday I found a book I meant to read earlier in the month. The book, “Christmas in Plains: Memories” written by Jimmy Carter, turned out to be a signed copy as well. A quick search on eBay revealed that I was not the only one with such an item, and that the going (non-selling) rate for these seems to be about $40; not a lot, so I think that I will keep this copy and read it next December.
You won’t believe my Wordle outcome today, but it’s true.
Wordle: two, my starter was MOTEL
Connections: perfect, Yellow > Purple > Green > Blue
Wordle in 2 as well, but I had 3 letters in my first guess, though nothing lined up. An impressive guess, my friend.
Work was really non-existent yesterday, so I felt no obligation to pay attention to my phone while I enjoyed the Boxing Day lunch. Debbie scored a very nice gift certificate to the feed store for her work on the website and assisting the hunt.
I now have a cardiac monitor for 30 days of monitoring. It just sticks on your chest and bluetooths to a phone they provided that sends the data to the mothership. A button on the monitor lets you denote a chest pain, shortness of breath, etc. and you log it on the phone. Should be interesting… and maybe we’ll learn something.
Happy Friday!!

Well done!
Let’s see if Barb can score an ace given the information provided. 😉
with Steve not giving up his word – not sure I can figure out what word to get an ace.
My word was SAINT. When you figure out the answer, you’ll see that Paulie pulled one out of his.. nowhere!
got it in 2 – but using Steve’s start word.
I’d have never got it in 2 using MOTEL
Exactly.
I told you that you wouldn’t believe it.
With the knowledge I gained from my first guess, my second guess wasn’t entirely unreasonable.
went to Olive Garden last night for soup & salad – the soup was only so-so, but the salad & breadsticks (with alfredo dipping sauce) & conversation were great!
They have an electronic thing on the table, you can pay your check right there, split it up however you want. That was pretty handy. No waitress taking my card away from the table, just a tap & it can even print a receipt right there.
Nice. I nearly went to OG for the first time in decades when I was last in Asheville before Thanksgiving. All I wanted was unlimited soup, salad, and breadsticks, but I didn’t know if they still did that so I opted not to go.
lunch price is $9.99, dinner is $11.99
you can also make your own basic pasta dish for $12.99, but then you have to decide between soup or salad.
yes, I perused the menu, as I haven’t been there in forever.
Wondering how long it will take YouTube/Google to stop recommending Christmas music to me inside the YouTube app.
Today’s weather is worse than yesterday’s, and it appears to be the best this area will get this weekend? Trying to decide how to get some exercise, and be productive while doing so.
Green – Purple – Yellow – Blue (not sure about that blue category)
