My gaming has been weak. OMEGA has been a shitty starting word for the past three days.

Wordle: five, my starter was OMEGA
Connections: fail, Blue > X > X > X > X

Good bike ride Sunday down south on the Silk Sheets roads with Steve, and some hashers (Joe, Tammy & Chad)

Made some dill refrigerator pickles with the cucumbers that came in my veggie box for Allan on Saturday. We will know if a few weeks if they are any good. I walked to the grocery store to get the spice packet – so got an almost 5 mile walk in.

Very quiet weekend. Saturday we did errands and went to General Muir for lunch, then watched football all day. Sunday we took Finn to his swim lesson early, then breakfast at the Majestic, then dropped him at his mother’s where he will be for the next week. Then I went to Kroger and did all of my Thanksgiving shopping. It wasn’t TOO crowded, probably because it was still pretty early in the day. Then I watched the Patriots lose in spectacular fashion.

Paulie, you are not on Facebook so you missed my post last weekend about how I reached 1000 days on Duolingo. I forgot about it by the time Monday rolled around.

  3. South of Asheville. Seeing many downed trees/limbs but it looks as if some parts are starting to recover.

What’s with a 4pm hotel check in time? Seriously, I’m barely getting 2/3rds of a day for my money!

    Okay, going silent again…

Wordle in 2!! My starting word was STYLE, so the deuce was a complete surprise!

Friday night, we went to the dueling pianos show in Gay. I didn’t know what they were using as a venue- as it turned out, it was OUTSIDE! While there were several fire pits, everyone who knew better was prepared with blankets and whatnot, including propane heaters. We lasted about 4 songs…

Saturday was build the fence day.. sadly, it was not some of my best work and this week will be unbuild the fence and try again.

Sunday was a good ride on silk sheets. Only marred by taking Allan out when he ran into my rear wheel as I was shifting on an uphill. Barb, do you have a Venmo account? I feel partially responsible and wanted to donate to the repair of the brand new bike!

Allan said – it was not your fault, it was him not paying attention and being stupid. He will not let you contribute.
He is heading to the bike shop this morning to find out the cost of the new shifter.

AND – Did you find the old palm nailer now that you have a new one?

      • Steve says:

So (background to Barb’s comment) I couldn’t find my palm nailer (air driven single nail gun) and I turned the shop upside down and even woke Debbie to make sure I wasn’t having a case of “man-eyes”. No luck. Off to Lowes for another one… and the air compressor was dying Saturday (never would stop running) so I bought a new one on the way home from the ride yesterday.

Maybe Allan will let me buy dinner next time we go out…
