Yesterday was the first day we opened up and pedaled fast for a little while, averaging about 20mph for a few miles. Due to the fact that we lost about three hours waiting to get through a lock, and that our ship could only dock briefly where we stopped riding, we skipped one planned stop and plowed through the rest of the day.
Today we take our bikes onto a water us to see the historic windmills on Kinderdijk. Unfortunately it’s overcast, but at least I don’t think that it will rain.

As I was leaving for my ride yesterday, I got a call from the office with a problem. My bonus Labor Day WFH may be interrupted with a trip to the office! F.

Food has been really good – I’ve eaten plenty.
Today is really overcast, but still no rain. Low to mid 70s.
Lunch was at a dairy farm, I bought some cheese that is super tasty.
We rode by lots of windmills today.
I chose to taken the bail out option, somehow the way my saddle position is, is really bothering my lower back/tailbone muscles. We have adjusted it a few ways, but I’m still hurting.
about 8-10 of us took the boat option.
We are sitting on the bs deck area, enjoying the breeze as we cruise down the river. Once everyone is showered, we will get a cocktail.
And- there is no precocious 11 year old with helicopter parents.
Hopefully Allan & Paulie yell back at the Dad at least once for me. I told him earlier I was an adult, I’m not blind or deaf, I don’t need you telling me what to do. He is in my last nerve.

My app says zero percent chance of rain! But it is REALLY overcast, so the app is probably wrong.
It is also overcast here in Atlanta, and the weather forecast does not include rain. But you never know!
A nice holiday weekend. We took Finn to the Dragon Con parade, went to a couple of the events. I saw Nathan Fillion signing autographs. Then in the afternoon we packed up and went up to the cabin where we were blissfully slothful for two days.
Wout VanAert just crashed out of the Vuelta. Lost traction on a downhill and hit the mountain hard. got back on but didn’t last long. Green jersey leader.

Weekend in Chattanooga was fun, rode a new to me trail before the pub crawl on Saturday then on Sunday did the Chattanooga tri-fecta. Racoon mountain shuttle followed by a stop at TacoNooga followed by Clumpies for ice cream. Great times but damn I was tired yesterday.
TacoNooga sounds like a place I would like!

My post dinner walk was ruined by rain. On the plus side I can still run a quarter mile, even in Chuck Taylors.
