Fanatic readers, of which I have trained none of you to be, will have noticed that I posted on Saturday… by mistake.
So far the trip has been wonderful. I am drinking and eating more than I should, but fuck it, I am having fun. Included in the trip was a fancy dinner in Antwerp. However, I needed some time alone so I wound up in an Indian restaurant called “Curryosity”. Given that I would have paid for my drinks at the fancy restaurant, I *might* have saved a euro or two by dining alone and spending €31. OMFG my lamb vindaloo was one of the spiciest Indian dishes that I’ve eaten in a long time and was sublime! After dinner I started to wander to a pub for a nightcap, but was full and experiencing hip pain, so I beat the dinner participants back to the ship. Time will tell how the lamb vindaloo treats me today…
As I type this on Sunday evening my mental state is low. Hopefully when you read this there will have been at least a minor correction.
Today we cross the Netherlands border by ship, leaving Belgium behind.
Destination: Dordrecht, Netherlands (but not all travel by bike today)

Joined a gravel ride Saturday that started from the Luthersville city hall. After 15 miles of trying to keep up, i pulled the pin and headed for home. Had to stop at the store on the way back to recover. While my meds havent changed in a while, they just aren’t help my fitness. Cardiologist in a couple weeks.
Some pool time at friends yesterday was quite nice.
Currently out road whipping the staff hunt while Debbie rides Cash, who is green in the fox hunt world.

Ride today was good, but much different. Due to the delay by the lock and need to be back at the ship to push on to our final destination for today we booked it for awhile, hitting 20mph for a bit. I didn’t have my first beer until after 4pm!
Don’t know what I will do to improve my mood, especially when I return home, but I am going to try a few things.
Wish I had been tracking my rides with Strava. Didn’t want to burn through battery and data, so I haven’t been.
I don’t wish that I have been spending time in the ship’s hot tub however. 🙂

Back from 16 miles which kinda kicked my ass. Decided I’d cut through some recently logged old trail and found weeds taller than me! Just push through it. A “laugh in” crash when I couldn’t clip out and many scratches from sticker vine. If I can figure out hpw to get the tractor in there, I will FIX IT!!
