For me it was an uneventful drive to Florida, though the many people I saw stopped along the way may not be feeling the same this morning.
I’m trying to commit a new mantra to memory: “Food is my enemy”.
I did better yesterday, but if I can change my relationship with food I can start to lose weight again and feel better.

Good morning, I am working from my kitchen listening to the drone of my generator. Nasty storm last night took out our power and it is not expected back until midnight tonight. At least my refrigerator is now running and I have hot coffee 🙂 Hoping it doesn’t get too hot today or I may have to get out of here.
That storm last night was no joke.
Allan said a tree is down just down the street, but we were lucky enough to not lose power.
I know houses not too far away that had none last night.
I watched the radar yesterday. It did not look good.
I ever got a power loss notification, so I think the ITP Estate is okay. Looks as if you all too the brunt of the storm.
Ugly, ugly Wordle today. Three correct letters in 2 today, no other matches until I was put out of my misery.
An unsolicited tweak on your new mantra “Food is fuel.” No sense solving one problem here and kicking off another one. Our brains tend to take what we tell them as gospel. Ye olde “garbage in, garbage out” and all that.

I hung out with my massager therapist last night – she finally got another girl hired, so maybe we can get back on the schedule for a home visit.
Wordle in 4 – I wasted the 3rd try because I knowingly left out a letter that was in it – but it helped – so I guessed it in 4.
Mini – I failed at it. just couldn’t figure it out. (or really, didn’t try all that hard)
Yeah, we had really bad thunderstorms but that’s it, and I think it only lasted like half an hour. We did have a medium-sized branch fall on our roof that scared the shit out of me. Kevin was at his office at Cumberland and he said it was “biblical.”
Yay for Friday! This whole “working the whole week” bullshit is bullshit.

We watched that storm move south, but it never made it here. We were feeding the horses and saw it, but it kept its distance. A bit of rain could have helped the pastures.
A sad day today as Tony Bennett has died. Someone whose music really will live on for generations.

Howdy friends. After breakfast I dropped mom off to play bingo. Since then I have been choring up a storm, with a modicum of success. I will continue choring for another hour or so before I treat myself to a beer for lunch.
