The only two downsides to last night’s show were the parking cost, $15, and the size of the crowd packed into the Masquerade’s Heaven. I had a good spot in the floor but wound up leaving early because I was annoyed by the people around me. One good revelation from last night is that I am so much older than the people going to shows like this that I never again have to try to meet a woman at them; I’m older than their fathers.

I solved today’s Wordle in three attempts; my starter today was CHAIR

Wordle in 3 starting with PEARL. Mini in 39.

I’m checking out a new restaurant tonight with my friend Stuart called Bona Fide. It’s in the Edgewood neighborhood and has some crazily good looking sandwiches. I’ll report back tomorrow. Stuart is also giving me his old trainer, so this will open up some new options for me.

Wordle in 3 starting with AISLE.

I was running wide open all day in the office yesterday. Equipment to install, cable to run, problems to fix.. was glad to get out when I did!

Debbie, what was the name of the show we were watching last night. We watched 4 episodes and it was really good- a Black law firm, lots of legal drama…

Made a tasty chicken dish last night from the meal service.

She doesn’t read the blog before she Wordles, so my thought of leaving her a tip wouldn’t have helped.

Good morning from Prescott (pronounced Preskitt) AZ.
We did the Hot Air Balloon thing, drove to Jerome for lunch (that town was busy on a Tuesday early afternoon) then on a great Hwy over a mountain with still plenty of snow to get to Prescott. I bet that road was closed for a few days.
Staying at a really old hotel that is supposed to be haunted, Faith (the ghost) has done nothing to haunt us. We are very disappointed. We do have a 2nd room, the Parlor, which is very nice this morning since I wake up earlier then everyone else.
A few drinks on Whiskey Row, then dinner at a very eclectic restaurant called El Gato Azul. It was a full day, so we were back by 8:30 & asleep by 9:30-10am.

Today we will head back south for warmer weather, stop at Rock Springs Pies, then switch out some clothes at Connie’s & head to Tucson.

It’s sounding like a fantastic trip!

    • You are doing it right! And thanks for the education about how to pronounce the town name. Not sure if that was one in which I stopped back in ‘05. Would like to make another tour of AZ before I’m too old (I think these thoughts a lot now…)

We were listening to a radio station & they said Preskitt in commercials way too many times, so we learned how to say it.

Sounds like a really fun trip! Going to Sedona and going on a hat air balloon ride are both on my list. If Steve and I every successfully plan a vacation again, I might check them off.

  5. Faux Irish stew is in the crockpot, well, in the InstantPot on Slow Cook Mode. To be clear, I am using real meat today, I just have little confidence about the authenticity of the recipe. Oh, and I had to make a slight ingredient substitution when I didn’t find a spice mix I thought I had in the cupboard.

Wordle in 3 starting with AISLE and I’m still steamed about needing so many hints yesterday. 🙂

We started watching The Good Fight on Paramount. Finally a show we both like!

Mickey’s pre-purchase exam went really well with some minor findings, but that’s always the case. Waiting to hear back from the buyer if she’s going to purchase him or not. If it was a reasonable person, I’d be very confident, but this one is a wild card.

Spent yesterday afternoon doing all the things for shipping the puppy from Wales. I should not be surprised, but it is always interesting to me that there is a whole industry around a niche. I had to deal with dog import brokers are both sides of the pond. It might’ve been less expensive and definitely more fun to fly over and get her.

  7. While Irish stew is cooking I decided to try making an Irish soda bread. The dough looks suspiciously dry, even though I followed the recipe to a T. Hopefully it will come out regardless.

Well, it’s my turn not to be able to comment. No idea why!
