As I type this it is raining outside. I’m glad that I spent time outdoors yesterday, at first doing some manual labor in WLF, and then going on a 6.3 mile walk. On my walk I discovered another cache of jigsaw puzzles for exchange, which is good since last I night I was driven to finish the puzzle on which I had been working for the past few weeks. I don’t think that I will start a new puzzle in the coming weeks, but it’s nice to know a supply of them exists when I am ready.
I’m going to spend the morning and early afternoon coding. I need to spend the morning and early afternoon today coding.

I had an abbreviated pool night, cut short on the front end chasing down a programming bug, and on the back end by parental responsibilities but the middle was definitely an enjoyable 90 minutes. My neighbor down the street has a great setup. Tomorrow will involve a different type of pool.

True, but I don’t have any friends have a swimming pool, much less a heated one.
We went on a 5.5 mile walk last night – it was a nice warm night for a walk in February.
We bought some frozen steam buns at the Super H Mart a few weeks back – finally steamed them last night – they were spicy! I wasn’t a huge fan, I like the soup dumplings, but these were only ok. Need to see if we can find the soup dumplings. Also had some Sam’s Club sushi with them.
Other note – since we were at Sam’s at lunchtime -decided to be cheap & grab a slices of pizza & a hot dog – most economical lunch ever – the hot dog with a drink was $1.38, the slice of pizza with a drink is $2.50. I’ve just never paid attention to their prices.
It was a nice evening and at least around East Atlanta there was a breeze, keeping me from sweating too much.
In the Olden Times I’d occasionally stop at Costco and eat a slice of pizza with a Pepsi for some insanely cheap amount like $2.
Yes, as Paulie said Costco is known for their slice of pizza and a soda for like a dollar fifty. Their CEO said somewhat recently (like the last couple of years) that they will never change the price, which seems impossible.
Sam’s is so much more convenient for us compared to Costco (1 at Cumberland Mall, 1 near Town Center Mall) and I’ve never really thought there is that much of a difference (besides Sam’s is the same people as Walmart – but I’ll get over that for the cheaper gasprices nearby)
Oh, I think they’re probably the same, right? I would just go to whichever is convenient. The Cumberland Costco happens to be right next to Kevin’s office, so he goes probably once a month.
When I worked near Perimeter Mall Costco had two locations I could hit, whereas Sam’s only had the one on Clairmont at 85. Now that I am unemployed, neither it conveniently close enough to EAV to make it worth my while.
I try not to let Debbie go to Costco unattended. While she does find some amazing things (frozen pork carnitas, guacamole pucks) she can also come home with a 3 years supply of tooth paste.
Allan is horrible there as well – I tried to reign him in, didn’t do very well. He feels like its a rule you MUST buy a rotisserie chicken. Bought a huge bag of peeled garlic – anyone need any garlic????
I too am not allowed unsupervised in Costco 🙁
But there is so much fun stuff there!!
Now I need those frozen pork carnitas that Steve mentioned. *Putting it on the Costco list*
I feel like Costco has better house brand choices and specialty items. I have friends who are members of both because the inventory is different between them. Sams and Costco are right across the street from each other here which seems dumb, but it’s convenient!
I attempted to do a solid for my former Home Hash (Black Sheep, of course) by updating the DNS records for blacksheephash.com so that it redirects to a new site created by Fuckeye. My IT skills apparently suck, as all it does when you visit that URL is show a GoDaddy parked screen now. Dangen!

I am so glad the weekend is upon us. This week was rough. Plus it’s the beginning of Finn’s winter break and he’s with his mother this year so we have 12 glorious days of being adults. We have no plans this weekend other than sleeping as late as possible. Might see a movie if there is one. Debbie, I took note of the two movies you mentioned last weekend and am going to look them up!

A very busy day at work yesterday, which made the day go quickly.
The Games wrap up party (aka “We Fooled Them Again”) is tomorrow and my awards are almost finished. We keep a log of people doing stupid things or just funny things and give “awards”. Over the years, I got many! Now that I’m “in charge” payback is hell.
The Chattahooligans are pictured on a BRAG post this morning. I was just surfing by and thought, “that looks like Sally and her son!”

On which social media platform? IG had a group photo with the Chattahooligans a few weeks ago. IG’s “timeline” is now so fucked up, and littered with “Sponsored” posts (read “ads”), that I am ready to bail on it.
I’m new to IG – but it is as crazy as FB with the timeline & algorithms (& sponsored posts) that I don’t look at it as often as I thought I would.
Frankin loves the ‘hooligans – he uses their pictures often really.
That social media that YOU don’t participate in, of course. I don’t IG or twit, so that’s what I got.
We have a great time on BRAG and don’t shy away from cameras. Good advertisement opportunity for Franklin.

I went to the Meriwether Garden Club yesterday and saw a lot of mothers of classmates from high school. My friend and I weren’t the youngest, but we brought the median age down. It was at an amazing local farm that’s owned by a very high-end architect. He studied in England and Italy and he’s designing the landscape (1600 acres) to pull in aspects of estate design in those countries. It’s a very natural look but the subtleties of the design elements were there once you knew to look for them.
It’s called Towerhouse Farm and they also have the brewery in Gay. Worth checking out on the interwebs.
It’s owned by Keith Summerour. About 20 years ago I did consulting work for his company for a couple of years. The landscaping guy that I hired last year used to work for Summerour. I knew that if Raymond could keep Keith Summerour happy, he could certainly keep me happy as well.
In any case, that sounds like a fun day trip.
