Went to Aldi yesterday looking for the vegetarian chicken and waffles item they had in their weekly flyer. Unfortunately it was nowhere to be found in the Decatur store.
I solved today’s Wordle in four attempts; my starter today was AVOID

Heardle fail.
I am neither here nor there on my opinion of Senator Warnock, but I am fucking tired of the political ads against him. Hell, I am fucking tired of all political ads.
Have gone out for a walk. Weather is great, now wishing I had motivated myself to go out for a bike ride this morning.
5.25 miles done. Nice walk.
Wordle in 5 (should have been 4), Mini in under 2.
Amazing clouds last night. We went to Hogansville to grab dinner and groceries and was heading back home at sunset. There were storms to the east- big thunderheads still picking up the colors of the sunset. Really pretty and unusual.
Friends are on a gravel bike tour of Maine and it looks like great fun. I asked if he was “rolling his own” (i.e. bike packing) and he replied he was CC’ing it. It took me a second to realize he meant credit card, so no tent or food, only clothes. What fun.
George broke out of his crate while we were at dinner last night. Amazing the SOB can’t push the back door open but can exit a bungie cord closed crate. Grrrrrr….

George is playing you………
Went to high school open house/orientation for Travis last night. Can’t believe he starts high school on Monday, crazy!
Then down in Sandy Springs there is a theatre that turns the parking lot in to a drive-in and shows 80’s movies. Went to see the Goonies, good times! However, we did get chased in to the car for about 15 minutes for some rain but other than that was a great night to watch a movie outside.
High School? In-con-ceivable!
that sounds fun – what does the theatre charge for that?
Travis in high school – damn, I’m feeling old.
Way too much, it was $35 for a car with 3 people in it.
yikes! but at least you could bring your own snacks! (& beverages)
I feel you Bob, my daughter starts high school on August 17. My son is starting junior high (7th grade). It definitely goes fast. My daughter is going to launch so hard, she practically has one foot out the door already. That’s a good thing, she has an innate level of confidence that I never had.
High School!?!?!? Wow.
wordle in 5 – had to resort to the google.
Mini in 1:17 – not too bad for me.
Wordle in 5 starting with CRANE. Rocked the 60s, 70s, and 80s Heardles, flamed out on 90s, 00’s and the real Heardle. 53 seconds on the Mini.
I’m back to having 3 yoga classes a week, and man it sure makes a difference.
I really need to get back to yoga
I have still never done yoga.
Come give it a try, Tuesdays at 7:00 AM or Thursdays at 9:30. Rutu is out next week on vacation, but will be back the following week. You definitely have to find the right instructor, and I think you’d like her. Everyone in the class is middle-aged.
not that’s I’d come into town to your yoga studio, but where do you go?
I meant that for Paulie, who lives in proximity. It would be a total schlep for you, Barb. It’s All Life is Yoga on Waddell Street, which is one block off of Krog Street/DeKalb Avenue.
Have you ever tried Nirvana Yoga above Dakota Blue? I used to go there when I lived in OP and really liked it. I haven’t gone yet, but my new place is going to be Tough Love Yoga on Dekalb where Radial Cafe used to be. Like 4 blocks from my house.
I’ve tried Nirvana Yoga, and it’s catty-corner across the park from my house, but it just never has worked for me. I’ve heard great things about Tough Love Yoga. I’ve been going to the same yoga class for about 7 years now, and there’s no way I’m switching horses at this point. 🙂
Rode my mountain bike to get a beer. News Flash: it’s hot outside.
Wordle in 4, mini in 64 seconds.
Picked Tanner up. His eye is completely healed – no more meds necessary! I was pleasantly surprised about the bill for his 5-day stay. I was expecting much worse. He’s been running around like a bat out of hell; he’s very glad to be on the loose again.
Wish I could stop being angry about the way things have gone this year, but I don’t see that happening any time soon. See also: tomorrow’s post.
Anger isn’t doing you any good – need to figure out a way to let go of it.
How were the beers at that brewery?
Agreed. Letting it go is easier said than done for me, however.
Beer was okay. I rode my bike there so I was able to have two, an IPA and a Pale Ale.
Up early this morning and flew to Syracuse, then an hour drive up to Sacket’s Harbor. It’s like 80 degrees with a delightful breeze. So pleasant!
