Well, at least that is done. The weather gods blessed me with a dry, cool evening for my hash. I wandered for about five miles laying marks throughout Reynoldstown and Inman Park before returning back to the start, 97 Estoria. A pack of about twelve did my hash and no one complained, at least not to my face.
With a few weeks’ worth of dirty laundry and a still non-functioning dryer I was going to run up to the old Waschsalon today, but have opted to procrastinate for one more day before doing so. Instead I will start and end work early so that I can go out to WLF in order to do a little cleanup and prep work before any rain arrives later this week.
Another chore on my list today is to see if I can opt of of receiving pre-approved credit card offers in the mail.
A week or so ago I heard about a documentary that Dave Grohl (drummer for Nirvana, guitarist for Foo Fighters) put out this year. In the interview I heard it was on Amazon Prime. However, today I discovered that it’s on (yet another subscription) streaming service called “Amazon Prime Coda Collection”. Nope, I am not going to subscribe to any more streaming services, thank you. If the documentary streams on the Amazon Prime tier for which I already pay I will watch it, otherwise it’s a “hard no” for me.

Well, I think that I just removed my name from pre-approved credit card offers for five years. We’ll see…
I have done that and it’s not 100% as I’m sure you’ve read. But it should help. I’m sure you’ve already done this but when requesting copies of the missing bills, see if they can send you digital copies instead. It will also be good to see exactly what information was on those bills in case the thief is planning to use them for identity theft, so at least you know what they’ve got to work with.
I should contact Piedmont to see what they sent. I think that all of my bills are digital these days. I’ll need to figure out how to look at my credit score and history to ensure that no one has opened a credit card in my name.
I thought it was a nice hash. Seemed like there were a lot more than 12 people there, but perhaps only 12 ran trail. Lots of cute or fancy-pants historic homes to look at, some parks, the BeltLine is always fine, Krog Street Tunnel, no land or business owners yelled at me. I ran most of trail and burned off a couple beers worth of calories and the end is quite nice. Works for me. 🙂 The Accord is at the shop today to get the tire fixed along with a tire rotation and oil change. Tomorrow is the Cavalier’s turn for some work. The joys of old cars. I still can’t stomach a monthly car payment, though I do dream of a boxier vehicle that will hold camping gear better… ðŸ˜

After cutting the grass, I was convinced to help Debbie spread the load of crusher run we got a few weeks ago. I don’t think it will stay in a couple places due to the natural drainage, but it will improve things a bit.
After talking with my Cajun buddy, I pulled the trigger on a multitool for my bike. While I have broken a couple chains, I never carried anything to fix them until now. Probably smart, since I’m out alone in the country! Duh.
In the orifice today. Managed to fill up last night on the second choice of stations- the first was completely out of gas. This is going to be a PITA if Colonial doesn’t get back online soon. Price at the Pilot, which is my normal gas stop has jumped .30 in the past week. Was 2.69, now 2.99.

I bought a chain breaker and carry a multitool now too. While I have wrecked badly a few times, I’ve been spared a mechanical no worse than a flat. For some reason I feel as if I’ve just been lucky…
It looks like the hackers have “apologized”? Perhaps this will help the situation return to normal, though it’s rather interesting to see how the quickly the prices rise in such a situation.
I saw this band of hackers don’t hit hospitals or governments and only organizations with plenty of money. Hackers with a heart?
The fact that they hit Colonial means folks who don’t have good hearts now know it’s an easy target. The fact they will now harden their defenses will still make them a target, though less vulnerable.

WiFi isn’t working, our building is I guess too far from the lobby, but at least the Verizon LTE is ok this morning.
