I’m giving myself an A for Effort yesterday for getting shit done, even if I did tweak my knee in the process. The knee isn’t too bad, but it hurts a little bit today.
Yesterday I repurposed some slender cinder blocks and built a bean planting bed for the bush bean (variety: Contender) seeds that I germinated in some damp paper towel this week. To facilitate the plants I also constructed a frame from which I strung twine up which the beans can grow. Yes, I know that the twine wasn’t necessary since I planted bush beans and not pole beans, but the added support shouldn’t hurt. We’ll see, live and learn.
Other chores that I completed yesterday were using my weed wacker to “mow” the small amount of grass left in the back yard, and then used it to edge the front lawn; later in the afternoon I pulled out my hipster mower and mowed the front lawn.
I also made a quick run down to Aldi for junk food for the weekend.
I also did work for “XYZ Corp”. 🙄
I knew it! Not even five days after I ordered my new MacBook Air Apple sent out an email announcing a Spring Event to be held on April 20. While there is no guarantee that they will be updating the MacBook Air, if they do I will be returning my new one within my fourteen-day return window, and then placing another order. And I have just seen an email that my order is now scheduled to be delivered on April 21, a full week earlier than promised. 🤷ðŸ»â€â™‚ï¸ Of course most people would be thrilled to be getting their delivery a week early, but I specifically waited to order to ensure that it wouldn’t be delivered while I was at STU; it’s a good thing that this early delivery date does not occur while I am not at home.
Today? By the time you read this I have most likely received jab #2. Woot! Hopefully I’ll have none of the side effects that some people have had.
I may have also already stopped at Kroger, assuming that I decided what I will be eating this weekend, and have returned home to do some work. After work, and before watching Top Chef, I plan to take the leaf blower out to clean up the debris I created yesterday by edging and mowing.
If all goes to plan after Top Chef watching I will prepare all of my gear for this weekend in anticipation of a fun weekend. I’m hoping my official BRAG STU packet arrives in the mail today since I’ve yet to receive it.
Hope that you are having a good week and are remaining healthy.
I really hope you don’t experience side effects too! I need my camping buddy. 🙂
I also got shit done yesterday including donating a couple bike helmets to a friend and donating my old bike and bike rack to Bearings Bike Shop. Of course, I am now really regretting the bike donation after seeing the state of another friend’s bike last night. 🙁 I rushed to donate it yesterday as there was a chance of rain in the forecast today.
After Spring Tune Up, I’ll make an earnest effort to reorganize the garage. I bought a bike rack last week and another will be ready for pick up when I return.
I was going to stop into Monday Night Garage when they they opened at 4pm to claim my free 12-pack of hard seltzer—free to anyone who has been vaccinated—but my plan to kill some time in-between at Goodwill didn’t work out, so I went home. The deal is good through April.
I have a few hours left of peace and quiet and my own space to pack before the husband comes home.

I’m killing time before my jab. I was going to stop into a Publix, but apparently none exist in Hapeville.
Hmm, that’s curious. I’m not familiar with Old National Highway and Union City like I used to be, but I can’t think of a Publix until you get closer to Newnan…
Just outside 285 on Camp Creek Pkwy.
There was a rumor of seeing the land guys yesterday, but they were a no show. Apparently they have a machine in the shop and were going to bring it over once it was freed.
There was lawn mowing after work as well as a Games call last night. No other real news from these parts.
Daisy didn’t eat her dinner last night, or at least finish it. I don’t know what that means as far as baby delivery.

Jab #2 done, the waiting starts…
thought I’d pop in – say hi! see some of y’all this weekend.
Today is my last day at Matson, after 15 years here, I’ve had enough.
gotta run –
Wait! What????
I can’t blame you, and you certainly gave them enough opportunities!
Congratulations!
Yeah, she mentioned it a few weeks ago.
Hoping I see everyone this weekend. So far. So good. 🤞ðŸ¼
Rain still predicted for Rutledge on Saturday. 😒 I am going to have to figure out how to prepare for this.
Mail delivered, still not received my STU packet. 🤬🤬🤬 They better have some onsite for those of us they and the USPS have failed.
Travis didn’t get his packet either, I’m not worried about it. Franklin will make it good at registration.
As of now neither has Bonnie. I know that she’s disappointed because she likes to have the paper booklet to peruse.
And don’t forget the mask for vanity photos! ðŸ˜
That’s actually the thing that bums me out since I’d like to take a few photos wearing mine to document the year.
the mask is HUGE – need to figure out how to tighten it up
