Up well before the sun again, though I did “sleep” until almost 5:00am.
I’ve used my early rising to pop over to Kroger to pick up a few items, more than I should have, though I did forget a couple. Yes, I had a list but I really wanted this to be a fast run, so I didn’t consult it. None of the items forgotten was critical to my existence or happiness. Not to add more fuel to Lurker’s anti-Kroger fire, but I wonder if Kroger, and really any business with a parking lot, understands the importance of keeping it trash-free. Of course I want certain establishments — hospitals, doctors, grocery stores, restaurants — to try harder to maintain cleanliness, even if a large majority of its patrons are lazy, asshole litterbugs who don’t give a shit how much the human race is destroying this planet.
My three hours of yard work yesterday put a somewhat noticeable dent of improvement in the back yard. I am still miles away from the unachievable 1999 State of the Yard, but I’m making progress. I considered going back at it today, but decided to rest a bit and do that pre-sunrise Kroger errand instead. My leg is slightly sore this morning, which is another reason not to push myself too much today. Besides, there are so many minimalism/camping/gardening hacks YouTube videos that need to be watched, oh, and I need to do work today as well.
This week’s mystery ailment is a sore throat. It’s not completely sore, just one section as if there is something present. I’ll wait the obligatory day or two more before seeking medical analysis. It seems that during COVID Days I’ve had many more things occur which have required medical attention.
Tuesday Tale of the Tape: 187.8 pounds (-0.6 from last week’s weigh-in); not bad considering my lack of exercise these past three weeks.
*Fist bump* Paulie! I am well on my way back to my pre-COVID-weight-loss weight. 😢
I strolled 6.5 miles on the Beltline last night and am headed to Amicalola Falls today as soon as the husband is ready. 🙄 We were supposed to be out the door by 7:30. I was waiting by the door at 7:30. (Paulie I’m sure you think this is funny.) Hopefully some hiking will help me get back on track!
Cool, I have never been to Amicalola Falls.
🙌🻠for punctuality!
If this dry weather holds through the weekend, which is predicted not to, we will get together for some exercising. Perhaps Saturday we can ride bikes, and depending on how I feel Sunday I may attempt Black Sheep.
45 minutes late. At least I’m not that bad. 🤣 And we still have to go to Kroger to buy him trail snacks.
We’ll have some fun this weekend. 🙂
Congrats on the continued weight loss. I had a bump up, after good Italian Friday, the leftovers Saturday and BBQ yesterday. Debbie picked up some lovely tomatoes and we’ve been eating ‘mater sandwiches. Oh. So. Good.
I quickly checked in on the TdF this morning, as yesterday was a Covid testing day for everyone in the entourage. Irony of ironies- Christian Prudhome- ASO race director, has it and has left the tour. Not to make light of the situation, but that’s almost funny. 4 teams have 1 staff member who tested positive as well. No riders.
Barb, a couple more episodes of Lucifer are under our belt. Enjoying it very much.

Thanks. I’d not seen that about the Tour.
Just checked on the “farm†and one of my small bell peppers had been nibbled upon by something. Dangen!
Shopping at Kroger is a death by 1,000 cuts experience.
My 500+ mile/month pace caught up with me after two months. I rode 60 miles on Saturday but wasn’t feeling it on Sunday or Monday. I’m about to do my weekday 9.5 mile loop to Midtown and back to get rolling again. Great ride on Saturday, though, Florence Road to a bit beyond Rockmart on the Silver Comet.
My “ride the weight off†gambit is working. I’m down 15 pounds now.
Props to you!
Thank you! You’re leading the charge here, so props to you as well.
Huh, a “street cleaning†truck is going down my street today. Seems like an exercise in futility given that because of yesterday’s holiday all of us have put trash and recycling cans out into the street creating obstacles.
