Good cold morning from an apparently permanently WiFi-less Waschsalon. Until I get a replacement credit card I am leaning on the card I normally only use for online purchases, as well as a cache of quarters that are left over from the days I used to do laundry at a lavandería.

Last night I salvaged a dinner of pasta with shrimp, lemon, garlic, and Parmesan cheese. With the dish I served a salad and garlic knots. I had to salvage the dish because Betsy’s Instant Pot never got to pressure, and in my attempts to remedy this a ‘burn’ warning came on. Thankfully the dish used thin spaghetti so it was still fully cooked, and the inclusion of additional half-and-half and Parmesan cheese salvaged the dish. In hindsight this may be a case where an Instant Pot is the wrong tool for the job.

Tonight is another return to “righting my ship” as I’ll cook a dinner after riding my trainer, and then attempt to do some coding, cleaning, or collecting of things to get out of the house.

    Lurker, you need to be more specific.

    A quiet night. I apologized to Lillie for not getting her to sleep in the house and told her to be around at bedtime if she wanted a warm place to sleep, but again last night she was off on her own somewhere. It wasn’t nearly so cold last night.

    I was about to have a little meltdown this morning as my PC, after an upgrade Tuesday and Wednesday, seemed to not be able to work correctly. After the 3rd reboot, things appear “normal” now. We’ll see.

      He formatted garlic knots in tiny print, clearly trying to sneak it past Bonnie. To quote the inimitable Foghorn Leghorn, “That was a joke, son.” 😉 😉 😉

        I thought it might have been a picture fail. You are clearly more attuned to them than I.

        (and anyone that quotes Foghorn Leghorn is all right in my book!)

          That made me laugh out loud! 🤣

          I ate healthy yesterday, didn’t exceed my calorie limit and exercised. Let’s keep it going today! It’s raining and cold so I guess that means back to the gym. It helped that the friend I was going to eat out with last night at Chai Pani was sick so I just stayed home. The restaurant was hosting a fundraiser tor immigrant welfare of some sort.

    Last night Annette & I decided we needed to celebrate with a bottle of champagne – she thinks the deal is done on the apartment, that has now become a townhouse with a 2 car garage. Of course its more money, but not that much more, and – a garage instead of the parking deck.
    I booked a hotel for 3 nights in Barcelona – so that was my reason to celebrate.
    After the champagne toast at home, we went over to the Marietta Square for some sushi (& wine), then somehow saw a sign at a different restaurant for half priced bottles of wine on the way back to the car, so had to stop in there. At least we didn’t finish that bottle. I have a slight headache this morning.

    I was about to leave this comment warning that the blog may be unstable the next few days because my service provider is upgrading software, and as I started typing the internet connect at “XYZ Corp” died. 🤷🏻‍♂️
