Whoops, I guess that I forgot to blog on Friday. You probably needed a day off too.
The campout was a lot of fun, except for that part where I stepped on a rock while hashing and badly rolled my left ankle. I had to be transported to the end via the boat in which Oops had the trail’s beer stop. The ankle is still swollen and sore, but I don’t think that it’ll require further medics attention. Naturally tonight’s Moonlight trail starts a mile from my house, but I cannot allow myself to do any more damage to the ankle.
Thursday’s medical test was interesting, my right arm still bears the bruises from where they inserted the IV and the spot where they failed. I’ve not yet read the results sent to me; I have a follow up with the cardiologist tomorrow, I’ll read them before that visit.
Ouch. I know how easy that is to do and just how annoying. R.I.C.E. and stay off of it.
We celebrated Debbies’ birthday 2 more times over the weekend after the nice dinner in Senoia on the actual day (Thursday). Saturday evening with a crew of fox hunt friends and Sunday for sushi lunch with an old work friend and possible new employer (!).
Dusted off the scooter to ride to the car show in Senoia Saturday. A good show, but a too many 70-80’s muscle for my taste. Give me 50-60’s “classics”, fins, big ‘merican steel. I missed the apparent import winner- BMW Izetta! Oh well…
Worlds ended with a whimper yesterday when most of the field could have drowned with all the rain. Had to shorten and reroute the course because of standing water and there was still plenty of riding through huge puddles several inches deep. 50 degrees made it exceptionally miserable. Ugh.

Followed RICE pretty well on Saturday. Kept it in an ankle brace/bandage yesterday.
bummer on the ankle.
I got my bloodwork back from my physical – triglycerides are high – what does that mean?
Cholesterol is borderline high – I figured on that.
doctor wants me to come back in – so back I go later this week.
High triglycerides was one of the first things my bloodwork showed in June/July, now I am headed down the calcium in arteries trail…

Hartwell was indeed fun. For some reason I decided to save my heaviest partying for Sunday and Wee Little Bit and Glory Mole were the last ones to leave a little after 5 PM. We won the hash! ðŸ˜
