Good run through Candler Park last night. Now it’s up to me to figure it where we will hash next Monday night.

Saw a group bike ride going through my neighborhood last night. No idea where it started or ended, and all attempts for search for it have come up empty.

Tuesday Tale of the Tape: 210.6 pounds (-1.4 from last week’s weigh-in); these high-sweat days are good for something…

I can’t figure out what your sentence means — are you laying trail? I had a dream last night I was doing recon for trail. I was taking folks through caves and lakes and stuff. It was pretty darn cool in my head. 🙂

  2. And I nearly bought a second Instant Pot last night, a duplicate of what I already own, because for a while it had a very low price on Amazon for Prime Day. However, I talked myself out of doing that.

    Hare next week? Hmmmm…

There was no exercise last night, but my lower back got a workout on the tractor. If you drive faster than you should when you mow, the bumps give your abs a workout!

Yesterday’s TdF stage was one for the books. The wind broke the peloton in two about 15 miles from the finish. Even though the chasers got within 11 seconds, they couldn’t close the deal and ended up down a minute 40! My pick for the overall (Jacob Fuglsang) got caught out, as well as a lot of other GC contenders. They will be glad for a rest day today. Me too.

Next Monday’s trail is a birthday trail! Just sayin’… 🙂

I will use the powers of facebook to try and find that ride…

this damn birthday week/month is about to kill me.
Annette & Mark stayed with us Sunday & last night.
    I gotta quit drinking………. hahahahahaha
Nice steak dinner last night, Fresh Market had a sale on Prime steaks to compete with Prime day.

Allan is working on the backsplash today.
Hopefully the drawer fronts & doors will be installed Wednesday.
Plumber comes back on Friday –
then – except for the bench seat – & some painting, the kitchen will be fully functional!

Whoa, http://www.woodschapelbbq.com in Summerhill is bringing their A-game. I see why they were running out of food the first few days they were open. It’s not all meat, there are vegetarian sides and a vegetarian banh mi. No liquor license yet. https://halfwaycrooks.beer/across the street was on tonight’s agenda, I see that they’re closed on Tuesdays. http://www.bigsoftieatl.com/next to it has some great ice cream, but you can easily end up spending $8 or more for a soft-serve cone. I’m just thrilled to be able to spend money on something other than liquor and parking in the vicinity of the former Turner Field.

wow- businesses near the old Turner field – who’d have thunk it!!!
all they had to do was put GA State in charge of the area.

This is the tip of the iceberg, much more is coming, including a speakeasy, donut place, hot dog place, a diner, another coffee shop, and I think a pizza place as well. It’s getting hard to keep track. The student dorms across the street from the stadium that are under construction are already 100% leased. I hear rumors that a Publix might go in over there, I don’t think the space is big enough for what Kroger likes to build these days.

I saw a great phrase about gentrification recently that described it as either a trickle or a fire hose. The fire hose is out of control in Summerhill.

      • There will definitely be a pizza place, Juniors (?). I have also heard about another restaurant, Little Bear.

*Fist bump* Paulie on the weight loss. I am 131 (+2.5 from last week) but I don’t think last week’s number was a real number due to excessive exercising and sweating at the time. I did eat two dinners last night (because I have a hard time passing up free food) and I are bread twice (😮) but I didn’t gain any weight today. Whew!
