Last day of January feels more like Christmas than Christmas did.

Will be spending the night in Charlotte. If I can brave the freezing cold in North Carolina tonight I will visit a couple of Charlotte’s breweries.

  1. Woohoo, today is my payday! So, even though I managed to tweak my back throwing sweetgum balls out my driveway (as I do nearly every day) at least I’ve got *that* going for me today. 🙌🏻

Those are today’s finance and injury reports.

    Heading to Raleigh?

Made spicy shrimp tacos last night. Pretty good, but a little odd- tortilla, then a lettuce leaf, then the shrimp and seasoning.

Those Fed folks that can work from home tomorrow have permission to do so. The theory is traffic will be a nightmare in the afternoon. Not really sure why, but as normal, I’ll be on Marta.

My knee knows there was a different bike yesterday but nothing too out of the ordinary.

Allan is very annoyed with this bike team, he’s trying to figure out if he is losing money now – they keep changing the report times – so the actual hours worked will be less than promised. He is starting to regret even volunteering for this thing.
I’m sure it will be busy starting tomorrow, but who knows.

  4. Spending too much time researching the many breweries in Charlotte. Have to remind myself that I can’t drink to my heart’s content.

Tuesday we went to the Super Bowl Experience. It was an experience. Glad we only paid $20, I wouldn’t pay the usual $40. LOTS of waiting in line. Played silly games, got silly photos made, saw the Vince Lombardi trophy, got a couple autographs, won a couple koozies answering trivia. Last night we watched the Atlanta Gladiators beat the Swamp Rabbits 4-0. Got free tickets from my gas company (Infinite Energy) and then because the game was a shutout we all got free tickets to the Feb. 13 game! It took us nearly 2 hours to get there due to 2 accidents so we had to nix our restaurant plans and eat at the arena instead. I ate popcorn, one of the few vegetarian options… 🙄

Have a great trip Paulie! The fun you have will make you forget about your aches and pains.

  6. Btw- there will be blog posts, if these ramblings still qualify as such, tomorrow and Monday. 😉

went & paid for TSA precheck a few minutes ago – finally decided it was time to spend the $85. Let’s hope my background check comes back clean!

  8. Steve says:

Debbie has global entry, which she said worked well. Don’t know if that works much domestically. I get pre check more often than not, and don’t know why.

    • I too have Global Entry and it’s worked well every time I’ve returned home from a trip out of our borders. I need to find out when mine expires so I can renew it. Hopefully there will be money and time enough to need it often in the future.

    • Steve says:

I just pulled the trigger on Pre-Check. Now if I can remember to go to my interview tomorrow afternoon!
