Enjoyable evening with friends. We started at the Surfer Den at Beetlecat (not Barcelona after all), my dinner group then went upstairs and ate at Beetlecat (the other half went to Char), and then we all reconvened for a dessert of gelato at a place called “Voga”.

Related to a comment discussion yesterday I am on a self-imposed two-week grocery store hiatus in order to use up some of the things I have already in my pantry and freezer. The only exception will be made for perishables such as vegetables.

Yesterday was a good day of exercise, 60 minutes on the trainer, and a two-mile walk to dinner; today I rest my weary legs.

Tuesday Tale of the Tape: 210.0 pounds (+0.6 from last week’s weigh-in); I forgot that it was Tuesday and ate breakfast before weighing myself.

How has it been? You mean to go back or to revisit with Urban Exploders?

After my chilling ride yesterday, more chores (I’m trying to remove all the spider remnants from the workbench area). I also caught up on the last stages of TDU and the track world cup from NZ.

A friend posted a pic from OK Café. I’m thinking we may need to have a meetup for lunch.

….what is this “OK CAfe” place, of which you speak?

At Beetlecat I had half a roasted butternut squash with crispy sage(?) and some kind of white cheese melted in the seed cavity—I might have to start adding something similar into the rotation at home. The hardest thing about making it will be cutting it lengthwise. I may have also snagged a couple bites from Paulie’s selections 😏. I couldn’t really try other people’s food because they mostly ordered seafood.

Today’s weight: 136.5 (goal 125). Since apparently Wee Little Bit and Glory Mole are laying a Black Sheep trail on 7/7/19, perhaps it’s time to kick this exercise thing into gear, along with food journaling. Plus, I’d like to be a few pounds lighter by my 45th birthday.

I ended up going to the grocery store last night, our cabinet maker is coming over to further discuss our kitchen design – so since they are also friends, we will be eating dinner. Meatloaf is the main dish (requested by Allan), and I had 2 different recipes in mind – so bought too many ingredients. (more for the pantry).
    Oh well………..

Aaaand your random PSA of the day:

Folks who work in Midtown (I think a couple ITP readers do?): MARTA’s giving out free transit passes during Super Bowl… more info here: https://www.midtownatl.com/about/midtown-transportation/trytransit-superbowl

    • If things turn out as they did during the Olympics this is guaranteed to make driving the better option. I’d really like to support MARTA but too many times it’s “the little transportation system that can’t.” 😢

      • Steve says:

MARTA still doesn’t have it’s act together at the airport. The switch is still broken, so trains are going South on both tracks and getting back on the right track (literally) just before EP. Delayed my normal train about 10 minutes.

And the Bank pays for my monthly card…

    • Barb says:

and they have special Superbowl cards for you to use too!

  6. Mysteriously my Amazon package was “ready for pickup” as of yesterday. This is the one that was not there on Friday. 🤷🏻‍♂️

  7. Kelley, if you read this space today I’ve not forgotten about you. I’ll be in touch this week.

    • Kelley says:

I’m a regular now 🙂 take your time, I’ll be here when you reach out! Intrigued by the ‘hashing’ – might be giving that a go soon!

$270 for a plane ticket to Iowa for the end of May – do I just buy, or see if it will go down at all……… (I got $235 for next weekend)
