💩

My day started out alright and I am going to see how long I can maintain a positive attitude. If you’ve read this space at all during the past fourteen years you know this can be a challenge for me. Wish me well…

Baby steps. You can do this. And no judgments if/when the day goes south. We can’t always be up all the time. Thankfully I’m finally climbing out of a emotional hole that’s been getting ridiculously deeper for months. I feel like I finally have my brain back. Christ, that SUCKED.

For the benefit of any podcast aficionados in this space, I highly recommend “Everything is Alive” in which the host interviews inanimate objects. Latest episode is an interview with a grain of sand that was startlingly fascinating.

    • Thanks.

I’ve heard of that podcast and am not sure I have the mental gymnastics to appreciate it. Perhaps I will give it a go.

I had the same prejudice, but I tried it, and I think you’ll find it totally your speed. To me, most podcasts are terrible, but this was a case of when they’re good, they’re very good.

I tried it because I like another podcast called Ear Hustle by that same company, Radiotopia. Ear Hustle is set in San Quentin and interviews prisoners about their daily life.

  2. Steve, if you get Amazon Prime you may want to check out Eat. Race. Win.. It’s about the chef cooking for Orica Scott during the 2017 TdF, which of course holds a special place for me since I was in Düsseldorf when it started there. I have only watched the first two episodes so far, but I like what I see.

Paulie, today will go by fast and your next three will be greeeaaat 🙌🏻!!! For being an Infinite Energy customer, I scored free tickets to see Josh Groban (with special guest Idina Menzel) tonight at the Infinite Energy Arena, so I guess I’ll trek out there. He has an amazing voice but I don’t care for the adult contemporary genre. Fingers crossed he’ll sing a couple Broadway songs. I looooove Idina Menzel, I saw her recently-ish at the Fox (though I don’t care for her non-Broadway adult contemporary songs either). Infinite Energy offered me free tickets once before, to Smashing Pumpkins, but it was a bad night so I had to decline them.

  4. Not sure why I love this new Andrew WK album “You’re Not Alone” so much, but I do.

  5. The Germans probably have a word for this too, but this Atlas Obscura article talks about Tsundoku, the Japanese word for a “stack of unread books”. I am so guilty…

  6. Still waiting for someone to comment about today’s hidden message. 🙄
