        I admit that long red lights are super tedious now, but other than that? I never really used my phone when driving in the first place, even for phone calls with the hands-free speaker system. Mainly because even talking while driving is distracting to me. I also can’t walk and chew gum at the same time. 😉

          I love talking on the phone in the car, its the only time I feel focused enough to just chat.
          It is hard not to look at the phone at stop lights.

          I like to listen to podcasts, and hate listening to the commercials that are now a part of them, so I find it difficult not to I’m up the phone to skip them. This law may make audiobooks, music listening, or even silence (!) my priority again.

          I hate talking on the phone, in the car or otherwise.

    I’ve been trying really hard as well. I’m certainly not so stupid to use my device in busy traffic. Ever.

    I don’t want to say this too loudly, but it’s not raining and I might be able to get something done outside! At least the house is somewhat clean.

    Had an impromptu birthday meetup for Sani’s birthday last night at Debra’s (House of Boobs), Kevin is back in town again for a long weekend. Good to catch up with some folks, especially Pasty (Thar She Blows) & Bill (Lost Cause). Haven’t seen them in forever.
    Very strange power outage as we were getting ready to leave, wasn’t storming or anything, so I’m wondering if the Doraville power grid in that neighborhood is a little iffy. Sounds like it happens occasionally.

    we are all still on for bowling Saturday night 7:30pm at the bowling alley on Buford Hwy – right? MC may show up -she asked if she could.
    Should we invite any others?

      Yes, bowling is on — 7:30 pm, Funtime Bowl, Northeast Plaza on Buford Highway. I will definitely be there.

      I have invited Laura/Bob/Travis, who may show after the United game.

      We may also have a new hasher Joe (“Slim Prickens”) join us.

    We are going up to our cabin this weekend. Not this past Sunday but the previous Sunday there was a gigantic storm in Ellijay, and we got some pretty dire emails from the property management office about downed trees and such all over the place. So we went up last weekend and we really lucked out: not a single issue on our property except there was water incursion in the basement. So we left fans running and propped up the rug to dry it out. We go back up tomorrow to make sure everything’s dry. Lately we’ve been avoiding Friday traffic and going up Saturday morning and returning Sunday afternoon, and it’s great! Still feel like we had a weekend up there without having to leave work at 2 pm to avoid Friday traffic. All this to day: have fun bowling! Heh.

      I’ll have to ask JoAnna if they had any trees down at their place – they are north & east of downtown Ellijay – you are just the opposite – aren’t you?
      We’ve been wanting to go tubing on the Cartacay, but just haven’t been able to coordinate.

        Barb, yeah, we’re more north and west of downtown Ellijay. But the whole N. GA area got pummeled. Our property (Coosawattee River Resort) has a tubing company, too.

          I ythought it was just me. And yet here it is again.

          The general contractor (me) is now waiting on the straw boss (Debbie) to approve the design change the engineer (me) made on the barn addition. At a good stopping point too.
