The Edmonton hash last night was good. They drew a large crowd, perhaps 40-50 half-minds, probably because the weather was ideal.
Last night’s trail had some shiggy and we waded through water a few times. Fortunately the one point where a wasps nest was located had been pointed out so we could avoid getting stung. I can’t say that I saw a lot of flour however as the trail had been laid the night before and rain had occurred and the dollops were scant. I guessed wrong on every check and turn of trail, and even had to box off trail to get back to the pack at one point.
Their circle was familiar but different, using many more sex-related props than an Atlanta-based hash. At one point I was wrongly accused of talking and made to sit in “time out†in circle with a bucket on my head. I’m not sure what was going on with the long ice pops they gave some people. And of course I did a down-down for being a visitor, singing Black Sheep’s version of “My Favorite Things†before drinking. All in all it was a fun time.
busy morning.
Sounds like a fun hash – any PI up there?
Paulie goes to Canada and Barb thinks he can find the PI! Well, if anybody can, we know Paulie can.
What’s a PI?
Poison Ivy
I was told no PI and then someone said that there was some. Regardless, I took no chances and wore my tights and arm protection.
Also, I thought trail was going to be really long because we went far before their beer stop (“hash holdâ€) but then didn’t walk far to get to the end. I’m told all Edmonton hashes are A-to-A.
A very busy morning indeed. My co-worker got selected for a jury yesterday, so he’s likely out the rest of the week.
Finally decided my fuel for the tractor was contaminated. After I cleaned the filter and refilled out of the same can, I went fine for a while, then it started acting up again. Got it back to the shop and looked at the filter- full of “mud”. Drain the tank and go buy some good diesel. Hopefully this will do it for a while.
Games meeting tonight after a trip to the dentist this afternoon. Living la vida loca.

Found a German restaurant in Edmonton! Having breakfast at Barb’s & Ernie’s Old Country Inn.
Obviously today is a meat day. My diet plan is not as stringent on vacation. I am getting a lot of exercise, so I am eating what I want.
I am such a slacker today because I have only walked 6.5 miles.
And today it’s 77° F with high humidity. Am I really in northern Canada?
damn global warming
