It’s rare when my brother and I are in the same state, especially when that state is California. Unfortunately he was in Sonoma for wine drinking while I was having beers at LAX.
10pm MDT and there is still light outside? Strange.

Debbie’s mom status- late yesterday afternoon, the ortho put 3 screws in her hip to hold it together. We think she was more interested in not missing her Alaska cruise than clearly thinking her options through. But as I pointed out to Debbie, if the hip can stay together with screws, no point in doing more- it’s not like she will start running or downhill skiing any time soon. Getting back in shape for the cruise will also be her motivation for PT. Fingers crossed.
Enjoy your time in the land of Labatts and Tim Horton’s. Our best to (NFITPR) Tamara. (if you’re lucky, maybe they sell Kokanee in Edmonton)

Hmmm. I hope that she is okay for the long-term. I was surprised how quickly my mother recovered from her hip surgery.
A little hung over (shocker) after drinking fat too many brews yesterday. Going to shower and walk to Tim Hortons this morning. We are headed to Jasper today for a weekend of non-hasher camping.
I have never been to a Tim Hortons – but I’ve barely been to Canada.
hope Debbie’s mom can heal quickly.
Tim Hortons is Canadian (though may now be owned by a US company) Dunkin’ Donuts. They are tasty, though I am not sure my fat belly needed to eat two.
So, at 8:42, I got an email from WF asking me to verify my card in Apple Pay. I figured it was a phishing attempt. Moments later, an automated call asking me to verify transactions on my account!! No, no and hell no, I did not buy hair extensions. Card cancelled, spoke to the fraud folks and opened an investigation, walked across the street and got a temporary card. Hopefully this is the end of it. MF’s.
its amazing how cards get skimmed all the time. People wonder why I use cash as much as I can……… this is why.
Glad you caught it early –
The pain of this if you have automatic payments set up on that card. Of course, if you were looking for a way to stop payments to a company that continually tried charging you – like for a magazine subscription – it’s a great way to get rid of them.
Right. PITA from the start. And this card pays most of our bills.
FWIW, the last time this happened to me American Express notified all of the merchants.
The suburbs of Edmonton are nice, though I cannot imagine being here during the winter.
