Greetings “Containment” TV Viewers?
Yesterday’s blog post had an unusual comment; it said “insidetheperimeter.com featured on the “Containment†TV series!”. At first I thought that this was a complete spam comment until I found that Containment is a real TV show, about Atlanta. Unfortunately “Containment” is not the type of TV show that I would normally watch, so I can’t verify that this URL has been used, and if so, in what context. I’m sure if my URL was used in the show it wasn’t to highlight a self-loathing post-Baby-Boomer, pre-Gen-Xer such as myself. (I tried to research in which category I fall, but it appears that most researchers end the “Baby Boom” era in 1964, and start the “Gen X” era in 1966. Of course I was born in 1965).
If you have seen this URL used within the TV show “Containment” please feel free to tell me how it was used, or in which episode it was used, in the comments below.
Shame On Me
Yesterday, May 3rd, I realized that I had mentioned doing a “Shot a Day in May” project and had yet to take a single photograph. The plan is to take a shot each day with my Nikon V1, but I didn’t manage to do that yesterday. Instead here’s a shot I took in Publix of something that humored me.
Baby Got Bike
I brought my bicycle to work with me today in hopes of getting a ride in after work. Of course it appears that it’s going to be windy again this afternoon, but I really, really, need to start ramping up my mileage.
Spending It All Now
Buying tickets and registering for events now, before the belt-tightening really goes into affect later this year.

I forgot to add what things I’m adding to my calendar.
I bought a ticket for Joe Gransden at Eddie’s Attic on June 3rd.
I’ve registered for Jackson County Brevet “Century” (I’ll do 64 miles) on June 4th.
I’m planning on buying a ticket to “The Taming of the Shrew” at Shakespeare Tavern in June/July.
I’ll tell Allan to be ready to go at noon – hopefully he won’t come to lunch totally dirty & stinky. I told him to not start moving the mulch until after lunch.
For those not on FB (i.e. Paulie) Allan spread a huge pile of tree mulch all around the front yard yesterday. While I was at work – so, I didn’t get to help because of that, not because I didn’t want to. I did help a little, spread out some black weed control fabric & then spread the mulch after he dumped the wheelbarrow. The front yard just needs some pine straw for the front flower bed & it will look great out there.
There is still a huge pile in the back yard of mulch to be spread around that area. Hopefully he won’t die of exhasuuion out there today. He’s crazy.
let me know about dates for Taming of the Shrew – we haven’t been to an actual Shakespeare play in forever – we might be interested.

Yep, that’s what I was thinking. I know that July 1 is already sold out. I’ll figure it out tomorrow and let you know.
Today’s commute was 35 minutes, pretty good considering I was on my bike and carrying 25 extra pounds of crap. I love bike commuting and getting in 2 workouts a day. I really need to get my ass in gear to be ready for BRAG.
Oh! I’d be totally interested in Shrew Taming too if it works out. 🙂
And those candles amuse me too — especially lined up over the “Chanukah Candles” label. I actually have a bunch of these at home. Last year my power went out with some storm and they were 10 for $10 at Kroger. Snatched up a bunch of them and now they’re in storage for the next power outage (it’s a matter of WHEN not IF in my neighborhood).
Yep, it’s the one that was above the “Chanukah Candles” sign that caused me to laugh and take that photo. I too have many of these candles for the same reason as you.

For me it would be July 7th. With the 4th being a Monday (and thus a 3-day weekend), I’m not sure if I’m going to head out of town somewhere that weekend yet. 🙂

I think that I’d prefer going on Saturday night, avoiding some of the traffic from Perimeter Mall. Barb, if you and Allan would like to join me let me know. I can either buy three tickets, or I can buy one and let you two buy your own.
