I’m not sleeping well.
One reason for my unrest is that I’m constantly getting verbally beaten up at work due to this project I’m on and I’m ready to toss in the towel. I can handle criticism when I’m in control of the entire process, but when I am getting told that my app is shit because the subsystems on which it relies are not correct yet, then I get angry. I’m not saying that my app is perfect, far from it fact, but I catch all the shit when anything fails because the users are only using the app to interact with the rest of the systems.
Upon returning home from another German class for which I was unprepared I only watched a little of last night’s World Series Game 1. The frustration I was experiencing was heightened by the troubles Fox was having broadcasting the game. I awoke to see that my Mets unfortunately gave up a homer in the bottom of the ninth allowing the Royals to tie the score, and then went on to lose in the fourteenth inning. I’m glad that I didn’t attempt to stay up and watch the game.
It’s ironic that I’m so down that this weather is unable to sadden me any more than I already am. Take that Mother Nature.

work sucks – I agree. I’m so busy with all my retail DSG shipping & then I have to waste half my day doing stupid stuff for others that can’t do their job correctly. At least in a couple more weeks it will slow down for me. But, a co-worker is having some sort of back procedure next week -so I’ll be totally tearing my hair out next week doing my more than full time job & some of hers.
CRV is better (its running), but just as we got home last night the check engine light came back on. So, I get to call Harry again this morning. Probably run over there for a long lunch today.
Went to La Botana on Savoy to grab a bite to eat – haven’t been there in forever.
A tough way to lose a game, but plenty of time to recover.
I understand your frustration with something out of your control. Now that our network is managed nationally, many things we could do on the fly now occasionally take weeks. Ugh.
I rode while reading a book last night. Does make the time go, and if your just sitting and grinding it out, doesn’t take any extra effort.
Debbie made chicken tacos last night, of which Jack was quite interested. When NO stops working on a soon to be 100lb dog, problems ensue. The shock collar is now charged and there will be some lessons learned tonight.

I have never been good at reading while moving, in a car, MARTA, or stationary bike. Besides, I sweat so much I’d run a physical book or maybe even my Kindle.
I’ve noticed that if my hands are sweaty, neither my phone or iPad will react. I have a towel draped on my bars for just such occasions.
CRV is fine – it was the catalytic convertor that made the check engine light come on. I know its been bad for a few years now. Hopefully the light will stay off, or I’ll never be able to pass emmisions without a very expensive repair. So, if it comes back on – we will be getting a new car next summer – or just living without a 3rd car.
