I’m eating breakfast at Burger King. Judge if you must but o decided that I needed a quick bite of food prior to visiting my accountant this morning.
The hardest part of breakfast will be keeping the grease off my iPhone as I type this.
Had I not had to dial in to a 9am meeting as I drive to Decatur I would have squeezed in a trip to Waffle House instead.
No Shortage Of Bier
Unlike the end of German A1.2 there was no lack of beer at last night’s German A1.3 final class. I brought a 12-pack, as did our instructor, and another student! Needless to say, last night’s class was the most relaxed of the session. 😉
My German A1.4 course, the final in the “A” series, begins in three weeks. At the end of that session I can take the Goethe A-Level Competency test, which may allow me to get a German Visa (work permit, not credit card) some day.
And then it’s on to the “B” Series1!
Accept No Substitutions
I have been seeing more Mazda 6s on the road recently. I am sure that you have as well. Just remember that there is but one “M6” however. Ask for it by name, accept no substitutions.
Time to go get my tax paperwork started.
Cheers,
Paulie [eatl/ga]
Why would we judge you for Burger King?
Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do & fast food just fits in.
Fast is fine, but I can barely walk into a BK. I have no idea what their breakfast options are.
Farley seems better. He came home from the vet and took his place on a bed under the carport while we cleaned and moved “his” sofa into the living room. With an assist on both ends, he made it to said sofa where he spent the night. We got him out for a pee this morning before I left, and I assume he is still on it.
The Verizon man came!! He installed an external antenna about the size of a large coffee can, and a wireless router. I measured 6Mb down and 3 up last night, which ain’t too bad. There is still no cell service in the house until I install an amp and antenna. This weekend’s project… besides unloading the pod.

Judge me because I am a fake food snob. 😉
Paperwork for taxes submitted, now I just need to find out how much deeper Uncle Sam plans to reach into my pockets.
Steve, high-speed internet (fast enough for video streaming) is a must have for me. It’s the biggest reason I’d never consider retiring to a cabin in the woods. Of course that’s closely followed by the fact that I will be old and alone, so I’ll need to figure out a way to have help when needed; a cabin in the woods is not very conducive to that.
Sadly, there will be no video streaming, unless it’s the end of the billing cycle and we have bits to spare. None of the sattelite providers can even support a VPN connection, which I need when I work from home, and their reviews generally suck. The cable appears to stop at the city limits of L’ville, so that’s out. This was the only reasonable option.
Barb, I have a couple of tickets for you… which I can hang onto or drop in the mail.
Steve – I figured we’d meet up somewhere & carpool?
Or – do you not want to be seen with us?
No, that was my idea as well… one less car to park.
The Burger King by me has full menu breakfast options. And I may or may not have had a Whopper with onion rings at 9am last week myself. So no judging here! 🙂
