The highlight of my activity yesterday was spending two hours discussing the merits and drawbacks of packaging for Schlage lock sets. For my two hours of expert insight I earned a crisp $100 bill.
I was all hot to spend my new-found money when I realized how badly I’d underdressed for the weather conditions. Thinking the day was going to be wet, but not necessarily cold, I wore a long-sleeved flannel shirt and my light raincoat. Neither of these were sufficient at defending my body from the cold, so instead of being bad I was good and drove straight home.
In an effort to consume previously-purchased food/beverages my dinner consisted of some bread I made recently, the vacuum-packed andouille sausage leftover from when I made jambalaya a few weeks ago, and the last of the growler of beer that I opened at Sunday’s hockey game. It was peasant food indeed, but it was my peasant food so I enjoyed it.
With a few hours of waking time ahead of me I did what all American forty-nine-year-old-teenagers do these days, I watched television on my iPad, read email, and scanned Twitter. I have no idea at what time my eyes shut and I was asleep.
The highlight of my day today should be receiving my new eyeglasses from Warby Parker. It seems like an eternity since I went into the Buckhead location and ordered two sets of new glasses, but in reality it’s been fewer than two weeks.
That’s it.
That’s all I have.
I told you that it’s been a fairly boring week.

A fairly quiet evening on the farm. Almost an hour of Suffering, then Debbie prepared pork chops while I did potatoes. Pretty good meal.
There was much FB traffic last night regarding the CF that was CX Natz. The officials had to make the best of a bad situation when they still had 6 categories to race and only a limited time window. It’s pretty rare to make all the Junior parents happy and this was no exception. U G L Y.
The packing starts today- at least stuff we can live without in the man cave. What fun.

I decided to make some white chicken chili last night, and with Allan out of town all week, I have lots & lots in the fridge. I will have to freeze some of it.
It was chilly last night, I decided to walk up to the convenience store to buy a lottery ticket, only about a little over a mile, but I didn’t dress quite warm enough.
Packing Steve? Is there a renewed offer on your table or are you getting prepared for one.

I was reading a little about the CX Nationals getting cancelled due to the fact that the park grass can’t get ruined? There were some pissed off & funny comments. I’ve been meaning to ask TJ about it, but haven’t had a chance to call him.
No official offer on the table yet, just trying to get a jump on organizing for the inevitable move. If we had the patented Allan Grove storage system it would be easy, but we seriously don’t.
I don’t think we even got close to the projected high yesterday, it was seriously chilly and damp. I rode with a friend and her son, who hasn’t ridden much if any, so we walked for an hour or so – plenty of time to get really cold.
After trying every electronic means we could, we finally broke down and snail mailed the owners of the little farm we like to see if they were still interested in selling. So old school.
Anyone heard of the movie Dirty Grandpa? its filming right down the street.
I hadn’t until now. Keep an eye open for Zac Efron and Robert Di Nero as they are both in the cast.
My coworker wants to go stalk Zac tomorrow, its filming at the Delkwood Grill. she said there was a sign that the restaurant is open. That is very hard to believe. There are so many trucks, and people, it is amazing how many people it takes to make a movie scene.
