Or not…
Today’s Daily Challenge
Tuck your chin slightly and move your head slowly backward while looking straight ahead.
A tight neck is no fun! Whether you spend time sitting at a desk or in a car, looking down at a tablet or smartphone, or you simply hold tension in your neck, this easy challenge provides a nice stretch for those muscles.
I shouldn’t be thinking the dirty thoughts I’m thinking after reading this.
Milk And Bread And Eggs, Oh My!
Like seemingly every other Atlantan I stopped for gas and grub on my way home last night. By the time I reached the Sage Hill (Emory) Kroger all of the eggs were gone, and the store’s stash of milk and water were all but depleted. I’d have check the beer and wine section upstairs if not for the fact that the ITP Estate is well stocked in those areas already.
When I reached home last night I made a box of turkey-flavored stuffing for dinner and then snuggled under the covers that I keep on my couch and gleefully went to sleep. Given that my couch is leather I find that it holds the heat emitted by my body better than my bed does so occasionally, since I am sleeping alone, I enjoy the night sleeping on it better.

Gosh darn it, I’ve run out of available photos.
Nothing But Wet
It appears that all parts of the ITP area are destined for a wet day today with a chance of ice forming overnight and tomorrow. Already people at work are worked up about at what time they will leave, at least this time schools have been closed so traffic won’t be nearly as gridlocked as it was two weeks ago (not to mention the roads will be wet, and not icy today).
Today’s Personal Project
Get to the gym before heading to the iOS Developer Meetup (assuming it’s not canceled).

Cheers,
Paulie [eatl/ga]
Sooooooooo busy. 🙁
The Fed decided to keep most everyone off the roads, so I’m phoning it in, and being fairly productive.
The MRI yesterday was fairly uneventful. When they started to put in the contrast, i thought I’d hurl, but I hung in there and the feeling passed. Good news- the oncologist has already reviewed the pics and the cancer has not spread anywhere outside the prostate, so I just have to have seeds, and no additional radiation treatments. An ultrasound next week will map out where to locate the seeds, they order them, and then we plant! Probably still a month off.

Glad to hear that news Steve. Kick that prostrate cancer’s ass, metaphorically speaking of course.
Glad to hear you jsut need the seeds & no radiation. My Dad survived it, you can too!
Paulie – a box of stuffing for dinner? really? what will we do with you.
Betsy might be having a snow day party, I’m jealous becasue of course I’m at work.
Allan got the phone call about non-essential employees for the City stay home, but since he’s an essential employee, why are they calling him? Because, damn robo calls go to everyone. He was on shift at the time.
If Bob & Laura can make it happen with the new camper, we might go camping the weekend of 3/21-3/23 – place TBD. But thinking up near Hiawassee where there are some mtn bike trails called Jackrabbit that are supposed to be fairly easy & flowy. Anyone is welcome to join us. Allan & I were thinking about going to AZ for a long weekend that weekend, but I’m feeling poor these days, so we are’t going to spend money on plane tickets.
I’m supposed to be at the NTC meeting in Colo Springs that weekend, but a certain seed planting procedure may nullify that trip. Debbie will be celebrating Saddle Sore’s 60th in Southern Pines.
If you need eggs, I have plenty, can’t really help with milk, only almond milk here. However, I went to ghetto Kroger after the gym this morning, it wasn’t busy and still seemed pretty well stocked.
Like Steve, I’m at home today. Jerry is in Miami, so it’s actually pretty nice here.
Steve, that is great news, your strong, have a great attitude, the big C doesn’t stand a chance.
Ran by the house after the gym/Kroger. Most of the interior is painted, the electricians were there, installing lights & fixtures. I’m going to try to meet up with our contractor later, to start narrowing down the cabinets and making final section on tile…we are still hoping they can start the floors but the weather might get in the way.
Great news Steve! I’ll bet you were happy to hear that!
This camper was stressing me out but I think we have it straightened out now. Got home and it would not fit in the garage so had to put it on the side of the house. Not bad except if it rains I cannot drive in the yard to get it (and it seems to rain all the friggen time lately). Also while backing it in discovered that the dealer put the wiring harness on the wrong way so ripped it off backing in to the driveway. New one on the way and replacement looks like something I can do. So started looking for storage places and was shocked to find that all places I called had no spots left, I even called places all the way up in Cumming by the lake. So on a whim I called the UHaul place in Roswell and scored a spot, success and it is only 3 miles away! So now need to collect all the rest of the crap we need (wheel chocks, cover, hitch lock, etc.). Thanks to Amazon it is all on the way. I’m hoping this weather clears up as we are going to try a shake down camping trip up to Chattanooga this weekend.
Barb, that weekend is looking good for camping. We cannot come up until Friday evening though as we have to wait for Travis to get out of school. I have never ridden the trails up there so looking forward to some new (to me) singletrack!
Bob, are you going up to Raccoon this weekend? Keep everything locked up, I’ve heard a coupe stories about people getting robbed.
Excellent – I’ll find some more info about Jackrabbit, I know Canucklehead & Michelle went there and she loved it & he said it was a fun fast trail.
Yes, going to Raccoon mountain. People getting robbed, people getting maced by teenage rednecks, should be a fun weekend 🙂
Wow, so much excitement in my absence.
Martha, I’m good on eggs (had some) and milk (bought some). I even have bread (two more boxes of stuffing :)) and enough crackers and cheez whiz to get me through the weekend if necessary.
well hell, I wasn’t thinking about campgrounds being closed for the winter- looking like more research in going to have to go into a camping outing. teh Jackrabbit Mtn campground is closed utnil May.
Yeah crazy, I have looked at 3 or 4 other properties and they are all closed too.
Unicoi has a nice campground and has tent space as well. And you have Helen nearby when you need someone else to do the cooking.
we are now thinking High Falls State Park – down towards Macon. Dauset trails are nearby – I love that place. I’ve been wanting to camp down there, everytime we drive past we say we need to do that. And – people coudl do a day trip to ride if they wanted.
