I don’t know if I am an angry, old man, or, if I am an old, angry man.

Yesterday I transplanted twelve tomato plants; I expect them all to die.

If I am not half blind by day’s end, I am hoping that my latest chalazion gets removed today, I will be undertaking new endeavors tomorrow.

  1. Back from Home Depot, the only stop on this morning’s list that I actually hit. I filled the trunk of the M6 so decided to skip Publix and Kroger for the time being.

The United game was a bit of a snoozer but New England won 1-0 and we had a good time hanging with our friend. They had the roof open and it was freezing! I was fine with my layers but Kevin had to find an apparel store and is now the proud owner of a United windbreaker. 🙂

that’s the way to get the apparel sold I guess……..

Allan had the game on the TV here, but I wasn’t paying attention (besides noticing the score)

      • Jenka says:

We were totally saying that — I bet they opened the roof just so they could sell more apparel! LOL. The wind was brutal!

    • I own a $50 (early 2000s $) Coors Field windbreaker since I didn’t expect to be cold at a baseball game.

I also own an extra Red Sox sweatshirt because one year at Spring Training it was unexpectedly cold and I hadn’t packed for it. Check the weather before you travel, boys and girls.

    Wordle in 3.

The wedding was a grand time! The compound was various buildings, some with accommodations and some just event space. The family shared the largest section while we had a suite to ourselves. You could not have asked for better weather.

When 22 year olds marry, the dancing afterwards was with music I did not know, with lots of line dancing, which I do not attempt. And there was a “money dance” where you pinned bills on the bride or groom to dance with them (apparently a Cajun tradition) as well as a “ shot dance”- line up, have a shot of Boones Farm poured down your throat and head to the dance . I couldn’t make it up.

9 hours of driving each way but we’ll worth it.

sounds like a fun wedding –
they used to have money dances at some weddings in Iowa, but you didn’t have to pin the cash – the bride had a bag, and the groom stuffed his pockets.
Fun little way to give them cash for their honeymoon (or whatever)

    busy weekend –
Friday night went out for Mexican in Roswell with a friend – and to see her bathroom reno. It is almost done, but the punch list of things the contractor needs to fix is aggravating her. They screwed up the wallpaper on 1 wall, so its going to have to be redone, and that may involve pulling out the vanity, etc. She’s so annoyed.

Saturday hiked 5+ miles at Red Top, finally got my new screen protector installed on my phone at Verizon (yes, I know I could do it myself, but I like the professionals to do it) & then had a wonderful dinner at Il Giallo for TJs birthday. I picked one of the specials – it was one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time.

Sunday went down to Southside park to hike, I’ve only mountain biked there. We ended up doing 6+ miles, glad it was a fairly flat course. Went to Red’s after for a beer & hot dog.

I”m a little tired today, my feet are sore from the hiking. I wear different shoes all the time, I think my hiking shoes (ok to get dirty) are very different from my walking shoes (ones I don’t get dirty)

    oh yeah – my vote – 😉
    angry, old man

Trying to start planning for our Colorado weekend in a few days – looks like the weather could be interesting – so it will be an adventure!
Been talking to Michelle (& Drew) about what we want to do in Fort Collins – we are open, so who knows what we will come up with.

  7. Barb says:

Might go ride the bikes after work – let’s hope we can make it happen
